Off topic: but is no one else really going to take AK to task for his frankly horrendously offensive comments on this thread.

There's no place here or anywhere else for that kind of comment. Pull your head in or go elsewhere. If you worked for my company, you'd be out the door quicker than you could say 'it was just a joke'. I'm not in the least bit interested in whatever justification you think you have - you need to take a good look at yourself. You're a disgrace.

If you weren't referring to me then perhaps you should have not quoted it. Have a look back - it's pretty easy to see how this could be mistaken.

I did start a post with something in the lines of "you're a pig" but what would that have accomplished?

What are you talking about ? We have a paid employee who is representing a legitimate company on the clock in the GPWA magazine getting sexually gratified.

I enjoy reading the GPWA magazines and do so to learn about the gaming industry and what is going on. My subscription is mailed directly to my house in which handful of children are always around all under the age of 10. I think it was tacky and very distasteful. Listen, if Renee wants to pose nude or in a monkey outfit so be it but please do it in vogue magazine surely she has the qualifications on being there. I never intended on putting Renee on the spot like that and she obviously has took it personal in which I'm sorry for. Every Woman from time to time should be reminded of there actions and location in which they are doing it. Although no harm was intended from anyone it is something that should be considered in future magazines and future reminders on the forum. If GPWA and others cannot understand so be it that's how I feel and sticking with it.

Can someone send me an electronic version of the mag? I seem to be not getting them. Kinda feel left out

all this talk about photos and stuff and I have no clue whats going on since i am not getting them or at least months after. I think the last one i got was 7 months ago.

I haven't seen the magazine yet.
If there is a photo of Rene being 'groped', then it's irresponsible of the GPWA to publish it.

Rene is a business woman. She does go to the conferences to hang out and mingle and people like to goof around. We all do. But publishing a picture of such goofing around is inappropriate. However, I'm sure she didn't appreciate something like that published. I'm offended for her.

Also, AK, really. Your post was vulgar! I was shocked to read, "can I grope your tits?" out of the clear blue sky. I think a sincere apology is in order.

As far as the topic of this thread goes. Don't go to the conference if privacy is a strict requirement of yours. If one is so concerned about keeping one's business secret for fear of prosecution, then don't risk exposure by attending gambling affiliate conferences. Anybody who has been around longer than a few months knows that there are photos taken at the events, and photos get published online and in print.

I agree with Engineer, though. The magazine should be shipped in the proverbial plain brown wrapper. lol

Unless you are a priest or a nun, or a very conservative person the photo does not stand out to be honest. I have the magazine, I've seen the pic and I didn't even remember it until they mentioned it here and I went to check it out again, to see what the fuss was about lol.

Agreed, hardly porn or sexual gratification, just looks like someone having a great time.

Just because this picture exists does not mean that Renee deserves to be pulled over the fire because she has an opinion about pictures at conferences, it will set a precedent that we start looking at each others historical comments on here, at other boards and so on in an effort to undermine each others opinions.

It does however put Alan's comments in context but I do disagree with the way Alan decided to voice his opinion, it was unnecessary, an infraction? not sure about that either.

Think this thread has become derailed and I cannot see any good coming out of it any further, up to the powers that be to decide if this thread fulfils any purpose any more.

Can we all get over it? I'm not being groped. It was a posed photo and was hilarious at the time. If you were there, you probably would have laughed too.

I also was not buzzed. I had 1 drink before then.

Again, I have a sense of humour and I have obviously mistaken the personalities of the members of GPWA because I thought people here also had a sense of humour which is why I agreed to let it be published when I was asked permission.

AKs comments only let other people see what kind of person he is. I don't care either way about them, but they don't make me have any respect for him.

Can we move on now? It's a FUNNY photo which was posed and taken in FUN.
Let's get over it now. People will find any reason to make a big deal out of nothing these days.

There is a true life lesson here. One can get trashed in some conferences, live, hoping they can get away with it ''coz I think I am good''. If you do, accept judgement whatever it is like, no denial or made up excuses. Time will tell I guess. Onto the next.
