Interesting trend - mobile definitely the up and coming market to capture. My latest site is responsive design, so it changes layout depending on the device it is being viewed on.

How are others tackling the mobile market? Responsive site design or separate mobile site?

Hi Lizzy,

Affiliates are begining to be more responsive to their mobile traffic just recently, most of the top brands in the world still are not supporting mobile devices to their sites and are now only begining to provide solutions, so I'd say the affiliate industry has recognized the need to support/service mobile pretty early.

Having either a responsive site design or separate mobile site is still providing a better solution then what is generally being offered.

keep in mind, whatever solution you offer, you still have to project mobile-friendly clients (casinos/poker rooms/bingo rooms) that suport mobile (app/site) on your site.

for affiliates without mobile friendly site, or affiliate who do not feature mobile friendly clients on their mobile site, we've developed the mobile alert/popup which is triggered only by mobile users and offers them a relevant way to play.

It's been my experience that either is fine, but if choosing a 'responsive design' for a mobile site, that I must remember NOT to clutter the page with stuff the user will not find useful or simply won't see.

If you can justify the time and effort, then a separate mobile specific site will give your mobile users a much friendlier/slicker experience.
