Players still keep searching for no deposit bonuses but great if you can get that traffic if it isn't compromising your better valued traffic. ND sites still seem to be going strong but I think if top casinos all had ND offers it would probably lower player value and somehow hurt retention.

At first glance a waste of time, money and resources! That said, operators are still offering it.. So once a registration has been made, kudos to the activation and retention teams grinding hard every day to make the investment count!
With the right brands that can make their players convert, it usually works pretty well. But low value.
My thoughts exactly

NDB does not work well like before, however, I agree with you that with the right brands that can make their players convert, it usually works.
Once again, the value on NDB is very low compared other methods of acquiring players.
Yes, you can get a lot of volume of search, and clicks, but the player value is 2- orders of magnitude less per player than regular traffic acquisition.
Will I take no deposit bonuses if offered by an operator? Sure. But do I pursue them as a means of making money? No, much better things to do with one's time.
It would probably be more valuable to build up a NDB site for the traffic, and then sell links to clueless affiliates based on the inflated traffic stats those NDB create. Which again reinforces the LOW value of NDB traffic.
Back in the day, when I commenced (2000), NDB's were actually given as cash-bonuses, and had a very small wagering requirement, mostly 10x, and no max cash out. Even back then they mostly got ALL the wrong signups. EG - bonus wh#res with no intention to deposit.
Are NDB's worth targeting today... Simple answer, NO!
