you guys have a pop up on your casino landing pages to send USA visitors to fairbet.
Are we getting credit for those players?

Neither Omni casino nor Sunpoker accept US players. You would not receive credit for US players sent to Omni, Sunpoker nor fairbet.
Yes, I'm actually not sure the relationship but they implemented this maybe a week or so ago.
I'm not sure I'd be comfortable sending traffic there knowing my US players are being siphoned off to a competitors site.
I make it very clear on my pages which sites do and don't accept American players but I know for a fact that at least half my sign ups at some non-American poker rooms are from the US... players don't always read the pages very thoroughly.
For example:
At XXXX Poker this month I sent 63 new players. 26 were from the US. That's 26 players who I potentially would have passed on to a competitor.
Not cool!

Good way to explain that Terry.
We understand they cannot themselves take the US Player, but if they do not want to set soemthing up in such a way that we get a piece of that player, then we have to decide whether we want to continue to send those players there.
We see other groups working on ways to share with us commissions for US Players sent elsewhere, and we have even seen one group do an IP check and give us the option of sending those US visitors to a link of OUR CHOICE!! (Thank You Rewards Affiliates for that one)
Since this is such a new piece added to the Focal Click group, we do hope there is room for discussion on this.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

I suppose if you are not from the US you do not see this popup.
If it were not for you slotplayer I would not have known this has been there, thanks bud.
I do not send traffic to "popup" places that I have not been informed with, this is just a bad idea I do not support.

Agreed - thanks slotplayer!!
The more I think about this the more pissed off I become. This is a very bad business decision!
There was a casino recently that placed an affiliate link on their home page. Someone brought it up at AGD and within days the link was removed.
I hope Focal Click/Omni/Sun see the error in this and do the right thing.
Thankfully, I have never pushed this program very hard and don't send much traffic to Sun. If this isn't rectified, it will be very easy for me to remove all links from my sites and send my traffic to other more affiliate friendly programs.

Bumping this up so it doesn't get lost and forgotten.

This is an ugly situation and needs to be addressed.

Sorry for not updating here. We've been working on a resolution to this all week. We do understand the concern here and are working to address this.
We hope to have it completed within the next week. I will do a better job of keeping you posted going forward. I just haven't had a chance to come over here this week.
Thanks,
Mark

I wanted to let you know that we are still working on a solution here. We have to work with the Playtech "Tech" department as it deals with affiliate trackers. We are working on a solution with them so that no affiliate traffic will show the pop-up. It's been taking longer than I thought but we will have a solution soon. I'm sorry for the delay.
Mark
We are on the final stretch of having this resolved. I hope the Tech team will have it completed by this weekend. I will keep you posted.
Thanks.
Mark

Mark posted the following on GAP - I guess he didn't think it was important enough to drop in here and let us know....
Guys, sorry, this should be fixed now for any affiliate using their tracking links.

Yeah, I just tested this on a couple sites and the pop up is gone.
I didn't even know about this thread either. Mark was sending me Emails about promoting Sun Poker early last month and we got everything ready to go and I noticed this pop up myself so I told him to let me know when its fixed, otherwise its a no go.
If you see this Mark, I'll get started on your page some time next week if you can still offer the same deal.
