    Default Unibet is a scam

Unibet is a SCAM, Unibet do not pay its affiliates.
I have been an affiliate since a long time ago, they paid me when they
must to pay only a few hundred euro, but for July they must pay me more than
2300 euro commissions, they did not pay me in 5-10 of August.
I have sent them an e-mail and they said me that they will pay in
September the commissions for July and August.
In September big surprise: they reset my August commissions to 0(zero)
euro and did not pay my commission for July. I have sent them a lot of
e-mails but no answers, I have called them to the phone and finally an
answer: one of my client made "fraud transaction".
How could someone who lost a lot of money to make "fraud transaction"?
So when I sent to them a customer who lost a lot of money, they said me
that the customer made "fraud transaction" this is a BIG SCAM.
No answer from Unibet, Unibet is a SCAM.

Not sure using the word scam in the title will help you achieve the desired outcome.

This is your first post on here and so maybe you felt that this was the way to go, but a more diplomatic headline, then outlining your case more specifically would have been the better way to go.

I have seen countless threads like this and until we hear the other side it is difficult for anyone to make a sensible judgement.

I am not saying that you do not have a valid complaint, i simply do not know, i just feel that calling Unibet a scam with limited info is self defeating.

Hopefully someone from Unibet will come in here and give their side or at least make some form of statement indicating they are not ignoring the complaint.

Certainly a post from Unibet to present both sides of this case would make good sense.

    ====================

I will note though that fraudulent transactions have become a significant trend with Romanian based players - way above "average" levels.

I am not sure if it is credit card chargebacks, or failure to validate identity or exactly what, but currently Romania is a hotbed for fraud players especially when the amounts being wagered are significantly above the average Romanian salary of 500 Euros a month (2000 Romanian Lei).

Given the OP name, and a quoted amount of 2,300 Euro in commissions (making about a total of 7,000 euros lost?) I would not be surprised if it turned out that the player in question is another example of Romanian betting, losing and charging back.

As we know - if player credit quality is poor - and chargebacks occur - than affiliates will not get paid.

I have talked with the Romanian Manager on the phone.
After she said that she do not talk with affiliates on the phone, just e-mails and after I said to her that I have already sent e-mails but no answer she told me that there is no card chargebacks, but she can't tell me "what is wrong with that customer account".
I have asked her if the customer account is still open. She said me that the customer account is still open.
She sent me an e-mail and told me that I will received my commission for July until 17 September, but no commission for August and September from that player because the player made "fraud transactions", but she can't tell me what "fraud transactions".
Do you think that this is a fair policy from Unibet?

    Dear florinvasile,

Without knowing your affiliate account we can tell you that we are not allowed to divulge any customer transactions and customer details due to data protection laws. At Unibet we strive to run an ethical and fair affiliate program. A such, before customers are deemed fraudulent, due consideration and investigation is done from our end.

As a result Unibet may without limiting any other rights or remedies available to it, (a) withhold any monies otherwise payable to the Affiliate, in particular adjust the commission earned on the offending player in the affiliate account to 0%, sever the relationship between the affiliate and the player account and/or (b) close the player and/or affiliate account and/or immediately terminate this Agreement.

    k) The Affiliate shall at all times comply with the Data Protection Act (Chapter 440 of the Laws of Malta) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, and any other related or similar legislation.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any delay in this response. Please do contact your affiliate manager if you have any further questions in regards to this matter.

This is a very "professional" answer.
This answer prove that Unibet is a scam, they did not pay me the affiliate commission for the August because "Unibet can't tell".
They want to keep the customer because the customer lost and may will lose a lot of money but do not want to pay the affiliate commission for August.
    Unibet is a big scam.

I'd just like to say that we've been working with them for a couple of years now, and except for 2-3 delayed payments newer had any serious problem with them.
Fraudulent players exist, you have to accept it. Saying that they're scam in your first post looks stupid to me, no offence.

Nice try Unibet. If Unibet think that to be from Romania means to be stupid this is a big mistake.
I still did not receive my money from Unibet for August and September, Unibet is a scam.
I will continue to post my complain on every forum and I will continue to inform that Unibet is a scam.

    Hi florinvasile,

thank you for taking the time to bring this to my attention.
After having studied the facts, I can say that if I were you, I would be doing the same thing. Communication with you could have been better, and we will take note on how we should improve. If you had all the facts, I believe you would see we have acted reasonably, and the information below should go some way to addressing this.

In your position, I would want to know why so-and-so player had been blocked from Unibet too. Although I am not at liberty to share the details about a player's account with you, I can offer you examples as to some situations where a player may get blocked; e.g. the player had used stolen credit cards and then the real owner of the cards charged the money back (which you had implied earlier), or in the case of attempted money laundering, (3 steps, 1. getting illegal money in, 2. mixing it around and 3. withdrawing), players sometimes operate in groups and do things that look like legitimate business to throw the fraud departments off the trail.

Unibet uses state-of-the-art technology and employs some of the most experienced people in the industry to prevent and/or limit such activity. However, the same way you might see a baddie in a movie rock up in a bank before he starts the robbery, on the rare occasions a player deposits and has bad intentions, we can't always tell straight away.

For more assurance than my words can offer you, I would invite you to contact the gaming authority on this subject - the Lotteries & Gaming Authority.

Last, and by no means least, please be assured that Unibet, ex-sponsors of the successful Romanian football team Rapid Bucuresti, respects and acknowledges the support of our Romanian players, employees and affiliate partners.

    Best regards,

    Ahsan.
    Head of Affiliate Marketing.

    Nice try.
Unibet is a big scam. When you will send a player that lose and lose again and again Unibet will never pay the commissions.
Unibet still did not pay my commissions.
"Stolen credit card" is just a big lie from Unibet. If there was a "stolen credit card" that customer account must be closed, but Unibet keep that customer account active but removed that customer from my affilliate, so Unibet keep the customer but not want to pay my commissions.
    Unibet is a big scam.

    Hi florinvasile,

thanks again for sharing your thoughts - and for reading my earlier response to your well worded, public display of your feelings. In all seriousness, in your position, I would feel the same as you.

Our viewpoints differ not because of who employs me (you and I are measured on the same things) - they differ because I have more information on this issue than you. I know something you don't that I can't share with you for legal reasons. You and I both know that the player's account is closed and in there you and I can find some common ground.

Dealing with player fraud has become more sophisticated over the years, and without educating players in how we go about weeding them out - I can say there are many layers and levels of it, and it get's bigger and more complicated than someone using stolen credit cards.

I discussed this same issue with some respected affiliates and affiliate managers of other programs whilst at the Budapest Affiliate Conference.

The general response was, "...of course the affiliate is upset, they're not used to seeing activity on a player that we know is fraudulent and is being used to find members of their criminal group."

I am not sure that hiding information from affiliates is the way to go and I won't be making any knee-jerk decisions on how we manage these rare issues in the future (suggestions will be welcomed) - in this case, it has caused you to become upset and make you believe you deserve revenue share on money Unibet did not make.

If the player we are discussing was legitimate, it would be in my interest to get their account opened again; I am measured on how the affiliate program does. You are still more than welcome to contact the authorities on this subject and if you pm me your telephone number I will aim to answer any questions you need on this topic.

    Best regards,
    Ahsan.

    Nice try again.
    Unibet is a big scam.
I have tried to talk with them on private in a lot of times.
When I tried to talk with Unibet Affiliate Team in the past no answers to my e-mails, I tried to call, but call operators said "we don't offer support for affilliates on the phone", I tried to send e-mails to Iulia the Romanian Manager, only one answer e-mail she said " We investigate a player for fraud, but we will pay the commissions", when I did not receive my commissions I sent e-mails again to Iulia and no answers. I found Iulia phone number when I talked to her she change "hello" with other welcome words "who give you my phone number? I do not talk with affilliates on the phone" after I said that I have already sent a lot of e-mails and no answers she said me "There was a player account that made a fraud,no stolen credit cards, but I can't tell you more". When I ask her again and again she said " The player made something that did not happened before at Unibet"so there is a genious. This is a ridiculous answer.
Iulia said to me on the phone "Nothing happened with that player account it is still active". When I said to her that Unibet want to keep that player account and do not pay my commissions she said " I can't give you more details".
Now Unibet said " you deserve revenue share on money Unibet did not make". That is another ridiculous answer. Unibet has made a lot of money from that player and I am sure that Unibet still make money from that player, but do not want to pay my commissions.
I have already contacted LGA, but the answer from them "The matter you have raised about Unibet International Ltd. is of a commercial nature therefore the Lotteries and Gaming Authority is unable to assist you"
Unibet is a big scam. When you will send a player that lose and lose again and again Unibet will never pay the commissions.

Thumbs down Do you trust UNIBET?

I enjoy playing roulette and have done so 4 many years and I did give this place a real try as
I first thought they looked genuine, had a good looking software and
obviously had a good reputation to go with that but its all BS...
Sure they let you win in the beginning so...I have never had a
drawdown of now over 200 units in my entire life...and it all happened in no time...Total BS...
Its important to do posts like this one when people are scamming you.
Make no mistake about it,their software wheel is rigged.
There is no way in hell you can come out a winner here no matter your gambling capabilities.
If they need and do cheat on you one way, they can and will do so in other ways as well.
Im a person of high moral and strong principles myself and always react when people try to bs me.
Whats the point of gambling when its not gambling...
Gambling online takes a gigantic amount of faith or plain dumb trust to start with...

Land is the only way to go...

    Hi Faith,

should any customer have a complaint regarding suspicious game-play I would encourage them to contact The Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) - who have the authority to make an investigation on their behalf.

Unibet uses several of the best online casino software suppliers in the industry and without any evidence of what you say, your statement is libellous, harmful to the work of all the people for whom this forum is dedicated to support (the webmasters who promote online gaming) and harmful to the entertainment of potential customers who may lose out due to your misinformation.

Unibet, established in 1997, is one of the largest online gambling operators in the European market with over 4.9 million customers worldwide, 600 employees and is stock listed (thus held to even higher levels of accountability than average online operators).

Without a doubt Unibet is one of the most trustworthy brands in online gaming and there is no need or interest whatsoever to be dishonest with any customer or partner. Would millions of customers and thousands of partners continue to choose Unibet if it were otherwise? Unibet celebrates their winners and from 2009 to 2010, Unibet casino has made Four instant Euro Millionaires!

    Regarding your next comment,

"Land is the only way to go..."

...may I humbly suggest you try Unibet's world class land based live casino roulette and get back to us.

    All the best,
    Shah.
