Lightbulb Top 10 Best Alt Coins For 2018 to Invest in

Here is my list, what I have done before buying, and I recommend others doing is looking for the coins that really has something to offer.
My top 10 Best Coins for 2018

    1. LALA
If you can get this when it launched on a trading platform, is a sure winner, my prediction is it will within few month have a value of at least 50% of OMG coin around 8-9 $ each coin. DONT MISS THIS ONE my prediction is 10x to 100X value within two months.

2.Ripple (XRP) some like them some don't the fact is they have a working system, and just mater of time before bank world joins, and starts buying up and it will skyrocket.
    3. Ethereum (ETH)
    4. IOTA (MIOTA)
    5. Cardano (ADA)
    6. EOS (EOS)
    7. NEO (NEO)
    8. Stellar (XLM)
    9. ICON (ICX)
    10 Waves (WAVES)
    11.Stratis (STRAT)
    12. Power Ledger (POWR)
    13 Verge (XVG)
    14 CMT

Ups that was top 14 winners for 2018.

LALA = WTF? This will go nowhere. Of course the price might rise in the short term if they can hype it.

XRP = Maybe, Maybe not. xCurrent is being used by banks - XRP not so. Ripple The company will do well. 100 billion XRP toekns - not so much.

IOTA, ADA, EOS, NEO = All with big plans but little delivery.

    Stellar. No. Just no.

ICON, WAVES, Stratis, POWR, Verge, CMT = again big on hype - but unable to deliver even 1/10th of what they say.

    ===================

Of ocurse - if you can show me a working functional eco-system, that has a real world use, and an understandable reason why the token should appreciate in value then I'd love to hear about it ...

But these (ETH and XRP apart) ... these are just salemans words.

    ===================

PS : I'm not grumpy with the thread, and I'm keen to discuss, but much of what I've seen here in on every Chinese/Korean kids wish-list for get rich quick schemes - so me just ONE of these projects that is anywhere near production please.

Yeah you got me. I can not distinguish between joke and honest opinion in cryptoworld anymore. Maybe the border disappeared completely.

Here is the biggest ICO of all times. Only 1B or so will be raised for Telegram.

I'm staying well clear of any ICO's - way too high a fraud and fail rate.

    1. LALA = well down on its initial CMC price, don't know much about it. Might check it out and see what potential once it starts getting listings.

2.Ripple = my safe bet, so damned much happening. eMetals trading, 50 central banks, etc etc etc.

    3. Ethereum = has a lot of competition, ICO's starting on the Tron and Ripple networks to name but two.

    4. IOTA = full of flaws, not convinced.

    5. Cardano = Hasn't fulfilled promise yet.

    6. EOS = strange one this, might have a chance.

    8. Stellar = IBM on board ut struggling to get anything to happen.

    12. Power Ledger = heard a lot of good things.

13 Verge = holy **** what a pile of crap this is. Justin Vendetta is the only developer it seems. Looks like a crack head working out of his bedroom. Never held a real job and his 11 crypto projects before XVG have ALL failed completely. Verge is full of flaws and just yesterday they had a 51% attack. Add to that the €3,000,000 donation from supporters to Justin for an announcement that never came.
I fear the Verge hype at the moment is just them cashing in as much as possible so they can escape the country befor the FEDS come knocking. Horrible horrible horrible.
I can't seem to get my brother to pull out and cut his losses on Verge though as he sees the supporters being so gullible he can make a short term hype profit before it all comes crashing down. Ugh.

With regards to Tron. There is a Market Maker account (I suspect Tron Foundation account) which sold 4.4 billion trx from March 1st till yesterday when he zero'ed out.

Unfortunately he then reloaded the account with another 1.4 billion later on yesterday.

With the Tron mainnet launching end of May and moving off of Etherium platform there should be some good gains to be had but with the MM account showing no signs of stopping, the price looks like it could be held down for some time to come.

Thanks for the realistic follow-up Matt.

I can add another "pie-in-the-sky" ICO - CashBet.
    (see https://coin.cashbet.com/ )

It's the "official crypto currency partner of Arsenal FC - hence my interest.

But in discussions with the iGaming group pushing this - their actual player numbers / revenue numbers are so, so low - that there is little upside (especially in the current negative sentiment environment) - and a whole lot of downside.

They've thought quite a bit as to how it might replace cash in the online gambling space, including offering benefits to gamblnig holders, and "burning" some of the tokens as part of fees - but honestly - it doesn't seem to hang together to me.

It MIGHT work - but it probably wont.

Another month - and Crypto seems to be stabilizing with a lot of good news coming through as mainstream investment people talking positively about crypto - albeit most of the discussion is about bitcoin and bitcoin only.

Look at the the focus of this thread ... I've been watching a few of mentioned coins sail into the top 10 on solid gains each week.

Looking at the marketcap top 10 we now see :

    1. Bitcoin
    2. Ethereum
    3. Ripple
    4. BCash (LOL!)

Perhaps no surprise .. but then look at this lot garnering good support - but I'm stumped to really tell you why other than they are becoming familiar names.
    5. EOS (EOS)
    6. Cardano (ADA)
    7. Litecoin
    8. Stellar (XLM)
    9. IOTA (MIOTA)
    10. NEO (NEO)

and then we have a batch of 3 coins around 18-20 that might be worth watching ...
    18. QTUM
    19. OmiseGO
    20. ICON

However, I'm still struggling to see practical impacts anywhere ... anyone with ground breaking news?

It is not about practical use only anymore. I still believe the practical use should be as the underlying standard of promising crypto. But simply it is not about that. Currencies or investment gold also do not have other practical uses. Practical use is not needed: enough is apparently the promise of practical use. Compare it with stocks like TSLA, where promise of future income; or Google that never paid a dividend. It works for years and decades.

It is crazy and I believe in bad times the practical use will be an anchor and protection against downfall. But it is time to really change the approach and not to be too much smarter than stupid masses who are willing to put their money into it. I am not buying alts, especially not now, when the new ones like EOS and ADA have another bubble and I am very curious what will happen with those (along with XVG, TRON, NANO and ofc XRP). Not that I like them, I hate those, because there is even less use and work done then elsewhere. But they are the good example of human greed, market behavior etc. I just want to see how the bubble plays out.

Anyways if you are asking about practical use, the second best after btc is bcash. If something is certain, it is another BTC fee crisis, in 1-30 months. The alternative used in gambling then will be bcash, because LN will not be yet widely accepted. BCH is already implemented as secondary gambling cryptocurrency. I am not rebuying bcash, because it would devastate my own mindset atm, as I am not selling child porn or I do not eat people or animals. But I still hodl the 80% roughly and I will dump it when the described scenario occurs.

Cryptos are mind*****, no doubt about it. Also I believe we can see in short term nice run of BTC and red altcoins once BTC now finally breaks 10K USD again.

Also some coins that try real practical use are the storj, maidsafe, SIA and few others who try to provide more decentralized internet. And what we see is that they incredibly underperform. So: it is not at least atm about practical use. As it was never about the best lines with bookies and that is why Pinnacle and Asian bookies << bet365. It took me almost a decade to accept that fact.

I am just happy with my average 3000% crypto ROI in BTC in few years. I am forcing myself not to be greedy and wanting 30000% or so. Looking back into real world.

Also is funny with all the shitforks of BTC: now I work on selling them and it is really impossible. I do not have a bank like Roger Ver, but I would destroy most of markets of Bitcoinforks with a fraction of my forked coins. Hence I can not sell them. And that is why the forks are holding the price.

The only thing I like is the whole idea of the blockchain as it can go beyond the cryptocurrency. For instance, I have read that it can be even use in small business - track the movement of the goods, their origin, quality/ quantity etc.
And I do not want to start on the benefits for accounting as recording transactions through blockchain eliminates human error and protect the data from possible tampering.
    The list can be ongoing!
But, I don't know, silly me, I bought some coins myself. Such as Stellar, Ethereum, Zcash and Ripple. Who knows )

Closer look at Cardano-once the project fully loaded, no other ones are needed.
