Wink Tell me why I am not making money!

    Hi, everyone,
I came to know about the online gambling industry about 8 months ago and I decided to come up with my own affiliate site about 5 months ago. I have been doing my best to sign up with know affiliate programs and produce good content for my site. I would like to hear from you what improvements I should make to my site so I could start generating some cash from the site.

I have tried organic link exchange, and some on-page SEO

    My site: www.virtualcasinofrenzy.com

    Thanks in advance

I had a look at your site and glossed over some of your casino reviews.

One can clearly see that English is not your first language, maybe I'm wrong.

    Herewith my suggestions:

    1. Get rid of some of the banners in your website's right-hand column. It looks a bit like a banner farm.Your heading reads: "Top 5 No Deposit". I don't see any no deposit offers just welcome bonus offers-your banners must match your heading. Ask one of your affiliate managers to design you a banner that features a no deposit offer.

    2. Write your content in such a manner that's not stuffed with key words. Instead of writing your content for search engines write it for your customers. Google values well-written content, gone are the days where one could slap kw laden and poorly written content on one's site and rake in the players.

Apart from the above your site is nice and clean and easy on the eye.

    Good luck!

Thanks Cass, I will follow your advice and let you know what my experience will be. Sure English ain't my first language but I do my best to do good in content writing since I am a content writer and have provided content for other people in the industry.

Change the layout of your Homepage. Instead of showing excerpt of recent posts make it so that people really get interested in your site from the moment they enter it.

Putting a content slider is always a good way to intrigue visitors.
Getting rid of some of the banners is a good idea too.

I would recommend that you change the colour of the blue text towards the bottom right of your homepage. The white text on green background higher up isn't too bad but the blue on green just doesn't work.

It's good that you are already trying to collect email addresses from your readers but right now they don't really have a reason to give you their contact details - why? to receive more spam? Give them a great reason so that they are happy to trade their email address for the benefit of what they expect your emails to contain. Telling them that you will just keep them up to date with what you are up to is just a bit too vague.

Other than that, don't lose heart! Optimisation should be a constant process so keep up the hard work and I am sure that you will succeed.

I'm really moving away from animated banners altogether at the moment. I think this type of advert is becoming less effective as it so intrinsically linked to banner farms now. I think keeping it simple with static banners can make a big difference.

I have always been a fan of static banners too... they just looked cleaner/classier etc

    1. site is very slow to load pages... Bad thing.

    2. content is obviously written by non-native speaker.
Very Very bad thing. People in the US will quickly bounce from a page that is not written in their dialect.

To be brutality honest, any educated US citizen would cringe when reading your content. You may have run a grammar/spell checker, but US Citizens don't speak or write that way... and most of the US has become educated to stay away from sites not written in their own dialect.

    Good luck.

Banners are okay and still effective to use but it depends on something I call "flashiness" .

I as a visitor really hate eye popping, dancing, bouncing, jumping banners with ridiculous colours in them.

Clean, slick, slow transition banners that actually try to inform the visitor for something are so much better.

Default What your visitors are looking for?

Obviously, as you can read, my native language is not English. But I think some things are understood well in a few words.

The content of your site looks good to me but does not seem attractive to a new player who is looking for a casino to play. Your content is good to get a better search engine ranking and is also good to get a high number of pages added to search results... it's ok but you need to convert your visitors into players.

I think you should highlight what is offered by casinos. Big bonuses, free games, big jackpots, high quality games, free money to try out the games ...

All these aspects must capture the attention of a visitor just enter your website.

Good luck and keep persevering because this work is not easy.

also suggest may not use dark blue on dark green on some of the text/background areas, bit hard to see.

I completely agree - I have no banners on the site whatsoever

I would agree, and I'll try to put it gently, with those who've commented on the non-native English issue. Whether right or wrong, a lot of native English speakers (and not just American, British too) are turned off by non-native English, sites with this problem appear untrustworthy to them. Even if you aren't in a position to pay a native English speaker to write your content just at the moment, you might be able to help yourself a little by changing the slogan "Where you realize full casino frenzy" - this doesn't make much sense in English, and it appears right at the top of the page; the first thing visitors see. Good luck with your site!
