Question Are Rich Snippets effective on Ranking?

    Hello Dear All,

We all know that using Rich Snippet Google Schemas are effective on CTO.

But is it also effective on the ranking of the site in Google results?

I formerly heard something from "Matt Cutts" (from Google) that Rich Snippets may have an effect on rankings soon.

Does anyone have any experience with it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Adam

Rich Snippets aren't an SEO Factor, however it could increase your page CTR and its good for "SEO". Now on Gambling business Google doesn't show most of the snippets.

    Just...

    Stars
    Rating
    Sometimes Images...

Just make sure to use the correct code... google could give you a Manual Action "penalty" if use a wrong snippet. (By example a rich snippet for recipes)

Thanks a lot but I am confused with your post's first sentence "Rich Snippets aren't an SEO Factor, however it could increase your page CTR and its good for "SEO". "

    ...aren't an SEO factor

    ...an SEO Factor

    Which one?

    Cheers

    Hello Adam,

    How are you?

Yes, absolutely! Rich Snippets are extremely effective on ranking. I have no doubt in my mind about that at all.

    Hello Vtyunby65,

I am very well indeed. I hope you are well, too.

I agree with you. Because Google has one aim to be ahead of the competition, which is "Searcher Satisfaction & Comfort" during the search.

So, snippets (as a regular searcher) sure make the search process easier and more enjoyable for me.

    Cheers!

Deffo best for CTR it also gives your site an authority look, though even with markup i find google chooses what to show I'm assuming based on page authority

I also believe that the main ranking factor is the "Site Authority".

I also accept "Site Authority" as the main ranking factor.

Structured Data (Rich Snippet) don’t ranking increase your SEO directly. Take a look on google guideline

As if anyone believes what Google says? First rule of SEO, ignore what Google says about SEO.

Look at it this way. If you have a rich snippet on page 3, it isn't going to make a difference to your rankings.

If you have a rich snippet at position three, that pulls traffic away from position 1 and 2, then it is likely to have a positive impact and eventually replace 1 or 2.
