    Default problem with adblock, help?

hey guys, good day to you

I am having an issue with adblock, obviously if a visitor has adblock he wont see flash ads, but he will see gif ads as well as links

for some companies that works but for others, when people click on the links adblock still blocks them and wont let the page load so obviously less conversions

is there a way around that? to make sure the link actually opens?

bet365 affiliate links dont seem to be affected by adblock, but another company i am trying out, mobibet, which i think is running netreffer is getting blocked

Why trouble yourself with an issue that is really a non-issue. How many of your visitors are using adblock?

i dont know, is it that small of a percentage?

apparently this happens only when the affiliate link opens in a new window and not when it opens in parent

I would think if you use an internal link it would happen far less.

Example: (traffic being sent to casino1.fake)
    https://casino1.fake/ might be blocked
    https://yoursite.fake/casino1.htm

There are a number of discussions here that talk about and privde examples of different ways to hide or cloak affiliate links and most of those methods fit into helping avoid adblock issues....(not completely but to a degree)

Sorry to bump such an old thread but there seems to be a disturbing lack of talk on this subject.
I recently installed this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/adblock-notify-by-bweb/ and currently it's showing 10% of my visiitors are using some sort of adblock. That's rather a lot IMO and probably costing us a fair bit.
Also some links get blocked entirely i.e. links to bet365 just disappear.

The % of users using adblock is only going to increase too.....

The addon has a guide about non-intrusive ads that you may wanna read. I only had 1 image that was being blocked but ever since I locally hosted it, it shows up.

If you have only ads that adblock considers non-intrusive they will show up, regardless if the addon is on or off. @DaftDog ever since Youtube became extremely ads crazy, a big portion of the online community started using Adblock. Most of them don't even know they can disable it. It makes affiliate login pages like bet365 or betfair even break, no images on the 1st one, can't log on the 2nd one.

Once again,Google the mother of all online troubles.

A friend of mine has a Youtube gaming channel, he says 50-60% of his viewers uses adblock. To be honest, since youtube started to put in unskippable ads, and time-wasting ads and all, I can totally understand using it (also not sure about the rest of the world, but here the ads are starting to get way out of line). I think advertising through anything that is blocked by adblock is dead tbh.
