    Default Prime Partners Activity Policy

Hey guys ... you thought a deduction to 10 or even 5% is hard?

The reason your balance was ... is due to the fact that the last player you sent was in February therefore your Rev Share has dropped from 25% to 2.5%

    hi eenzoo

thanks for the forum message, this is being done Automatically by our system once an affiliate is not active. we are basically following our T&C. i do understand the frustration and i have spoke to management about it. we are reviewing our policy and i will get back to . in any case i would love to hear your opinion on how to keep an active affiliate?

also i would like to mention that other programs are just closing non active accounts while we want to keep our relationship open and fair. any comments on this will be appreciated,

i will bounce back once i have a good answer

    thanks

    Aviv

Stop shafting people would be a good start, there is no justification on treating the little guy less fair than the bigger affiliates, especially if they are trying to climb the ladder.. these kind of terms speak lots about the characters that are running the show but ultimately back fires as we have seen over and over again

Treat them like the business partner they are. What is the value in reducing to 2.5%? YOU still need to manage their account and pay them. Why not just give them the value for life as expected?

Prime Partners your arrogance and ignorance aren't doing you any favors.

By reducing the commission of a small affiliate to 2.5% you are alienating what could in a year have been a huge affiliate. If this affiliate gets to be in a position to send lots of traffic in the future they will likely have hard feelings towards your brand in the future.

Not to mention by angering them now, perhaps they were promoting you in a positive manner and displaying your review ina visible location. Maybe due to your actions they remove it, and along comes a whale who won't see your brand and thus won't spend a lot of money playing with you. I've been around long enough to see one click turn into tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars, and you do this for what gain? Reducing an already small commission without reducing any of your administration costs?

Lastly by seeing this thread and more importantly your answers within it - you can guarantee that I will never work with you, ever. I bet I'm not alone.

Collectively you are doing far more damage than you could ever hope to gain by just giving this affiliate a fair benchline commission for life.

just to make clear that we are talking about an affiliate that is not active... we didnt change any deal he signed our T&C.

and again we are not doing it to hurt the affiliate or anything just to motivate him to send traffic again. once he is active he will get all his RS.

and again this a discussion we are having internally and any input from other programs that you are part of will be helpful.

    thanks

Again, these tactics will never motivate an affiliate to try harder to promote your brand. All you are doing is generating negative press and alienating prospective partners.

I've been a big affiliate, and I've also gone through times where we generated very little activity, and back again. Partners that were actually "partners" weathered the storm with me. Those that threatened, demoted, or used other idiotic tactics are no longer in my stable.

I do commend you for at least communicating about this, my comments are just as much directed at any brand with activity clauses and quotas.

    So explain not active

I send 50 players this month and google hits me, I don't send another new player for 12 months as I am working to get back on my feet. Am I active or not? Last thing a webmaster wants when he is down is getting his only income shaved trying to get back up.

I looked at the t&c's but could only find the rev share being reduced to 10%. Where did the 2.5% come from? maybe I am being a bit dumb !!!

    Not to hurt him?

Imagine your boss comes in today and tells you, "he Aviv you need to be more active till than I reduce your salary to 2.5% of the what we agreed on when you signed with us..." You think that wouldn't hurt you not?

We all know most of us are depending on Google for good rankings and quality hosting. Besides that we continuously need to stay up to par with SEO to keep our sites up and running. If we manage that on top of that we need to "fight" competition to get some traffic. I think you win more by contacting the affiliate and start analyzing why he/she became inactive and (as real partners) work together on a solution. Probably works much more motivating than just stealing his/her money.

would you say 12 months is a reasonable time?

Then that sucks, why not just put it down as 2.5% commission or would that frighten smaller affiliates away.

I initially read it as 10% comms earned. Told you I was dumb wont be fooled again.

Good luck in finding new partners, but I am afraid I will never join up with those terms.

How? Respect lifetime deals. If he doesn't send any players there's probably a very good reason for that.
