Default Please stop spamming PMs (RESOLVED)

Please do not use the PM system as a means to advertise your brand, it will not work (in my case anyway) and makes it less likely that I will work with your brand.

    Thanks

Please do not stop. Because I really do not want to work with anyone who spams me and this is the easiest way. I well remember my first gpwa spam. Miles/Videoslots.

Maybe not - but he's committing an offence by spamming members.

I've met Miles (in Amsterdam) and I also found him easy to discuss things with.
But that still does not give rights to be spamming the PM's

I guess you have to define Spam? I know myself as an affiliate I may have been of accused of spamming OR is it sending an unsolicited email/message? As an Affiliate Manager what is acceptable depends on the forum rules and I think to a large degree what is sent in the message.

For the record I am not a condoner of spam.

As a sponsor they do have the ability to send private messages, we suggest the use of the PM system for individual contact and to avoid bulk/template-based contact. After speaking with the Melbet team they stated they will not be sending any more of these PM's. Thank you nfint12 for reporting.

I certainly do not mind being approached when I have posted looking for an operator or property for a specific market, game type or need. And I do not consider it spam if the approach mentions my post looking for x or y and I do not consider it spam in that case, especially if the response does answer the need.

Opinions differ, but everyone has one, as an a**hole. I even think I wrote exactly this sentence to Miles, who was using "his right to opinion" as some bs excuse.

Miles being the nicest guy of the industry is exactly why this industry is pile of sh1t. Affiliate managers with fake smiles, soft skills, annoying bullsh1t and the best of all: total thieves, scammers and spineless fukers. All this industry needs is programs that pay, affiliates that take care of their creatives and nothing more.

I guess you have to define Spam? I know myself as an affiliate I may have been of accused of spamming OR is it sending an unsolicited email/message? As an Affiliate Manager what is acceptable depends on the forum rules and I think to a large degree what is sent in the message.

If you want a definition of spam, you should maybe quit with marketing or communication (or maybe continue with the spam because apparently it is the marketing communication). Spam is an unsolicited communication. You can not define it, because any definition will lose something. You must feel it. That means that for example you at least read things that the poster is writing (but that is bare minimum). To know if something is or is not a spam it is the same as to know whether and how to contact a woman. There really are not rules that can be always followed. Anyways if someone here contacts me with PM about "casino traffic", where it is certain that I am into sports, it is like asking a dominatrix for a submissive role play. Nearly all PMs are way out in this way. And even the AMs to which I am sending traffic are completely clueless and ask me stupid questions and suggest silly things.

I don't know what he wrote but I agree some of them are pretyped textes and send out to everyone without at least taking the effort and write to each and everyone a unique message, check the websites they have ect.

But what I don't understand, you run a Business as an Affiliate for Gambling .. the closes thing you can get are a PM from an AM, who want to try to find new leads .. I don't know if i would need to handle this like an illness. Not everyone has the luxury to work in a well known international company where the affiliates are asking for deals.

You do not need to work in well known international company, who is btw. the biggest thief in town.
You just have to patiently build trust, pay affiliates and write on topic to this forum. Then affiliates will contact him.
If the affiliate manager can not stand this, he and his program is exactly not suitable for affiliate marketing that is mostly based on lifetime revenue share.

Same guys who are PMing like from chaingun annoy people over IM. Just few days ago one AM, to whom I many times explained that I want to test him at certain positions and geos again demanded different positions and geos. It is the same moronism. Working with those bozos does not work. Even if I wanted, it simply does not work.

Have the product like no others. Pay affiliates. Do not make tricks. For that yes, you need a big budget and you will lose a lot of money for years. Then you can be taken seriously. It is painful to know that many companies have much less money than me, no business plan, you can feel the desperation; they have no unique product and they want to break to most lucrative markets by spamming people. Give me a break really. This will not work even if we actually give them our traffic.

Spamming is good?! That is what you do is it, as I see you represent an affiliate program. No affiliate in his / her right mind would join a program that spammed them through the PM system.

I did not spam you or wrote you any message I'm just saying its a gambling affiliate forum, you are an gambling affiliate and they have a gambling product - you do the math

    @Sherlock
Yes you hit the nail, thats exactly whats going on, there are so many people in this industry who dont understand how this works , don't want to spend a dime .. mostly don't have the dime. I predict that most of the casinos who are run poorly are anyhow vanishing soon so its maybe smart to do a proper reseach and dont list everyone .
