It won't be surprising to eventually find out this was all part of a planned Google effort to clean up/not present any older non-current news in general..and you got caught up in the fallout.

I do agree, on the basis of looking at one preview...my first thoughts were ' yeah that's (very) good, no problem with that'

    Thanks for your appreciation.

The time we spend working for Google is time we take to improve the user experience. This is a matter of concern.

I can't talk about sports betting, as I have close to 0 experience. In casino rankings however it is still all about link power. You can see a lot of free slot sites crushing it for thousands of individual slot terms while the actual page has 100 words of content. Sometimes it's actually no written content and an iFrame, related games and a casino list.

Google maybe is getting smarter, but the casino niche rankings surely don't represent that. Those bombing high DR/good traffic links are still beating those printing content and not getting many links.

I took a quick peak at your link profile and it's pretty evident that most of your links aren't very good or are from blogpost/medium type of sites.

    Hope that helps!

It's about quality, not quantity. Besides that, there are many other factors. If you're backlink profile is crappy and spammy you can add as much content as you want...

i do have to say that the ai tool you crafted is pretty cool and i think everybody can see you have put tons of work in this.

Also the way you respond to critici here is refreshing I have to say as most others would get angry or at least feel attacked (even though we all mean well and try to help you). So, not to put feathers in your ass, but i can really appreciate it if someone really tries to listen to the answers others have given you. props for that.

    Thanks for the comment.

We started to work hard this year to improve backlinks and DR, and it is undoubtedly a decisive factor in traffic growth.

However, previously and with a lower DR, we had more than 60% of the traffic we currently have; hence we realize that it goes beyond this issue.

    Thanks for the positive comment.

Yes, the team was very dedicated to developing quality narratives that can add value to users.

That is why I mentioned before that it is definitely not a trick to generate more traffic, nor for the sole purpose of having quantity giving up quality.

But the result in the increase in visits has not really resulted in what we expected.

For now, we will test changes in the structure, greater diversity, reduce the number of covered leagues and then add them again with no-index in several other leagues besides the main ones.

The goal is to serve the user, and in this way, we want to have content to cover the maximum of leagues. Users from Nigeria and other countries worldwide also want betting tips from their league countries. It is not only the European leagues that count for everyone.

Sometimes it's necessary to delete pages with 0 organic visits.

We did that as an experiment and that helped to improve rankings.

    Thank you!

We are probably choosing to no-index / no-follow that pages.
