My deepest apology, I thought I had seen it at Bryans house... not the case, it was a release from Lyceum Media and posted at cap:
No matter though, L18 is still useless to me....Bluff Magazine Congratulates Online Casino for its Out-of- the-Envelope Approach
January 15, 2008 (London, UK) – Ever since it burst onto the scene last year with an unheard of $1800 deposit bonus and $21K blackjack tournaments, Lucky18Casino has been turning online casino players’ heads. In its February issue, Britain’s popular poker magazine, Bluff Europe, recognizes the casino’s maverick character and names it the “Break Out Casino of the Year.”
“They’ve got a really slick site – excellent games, easy to navigate, open to US players,” said Philip Conneler of Bluff Europe. “But what really impressed us about Lucky 18 is the way they’ve just burst onto the scene with fresh ideas and a new approach.”
The article notes Lucky 18’s unprecedented deposit bonuses and even comments on the site’s cheeky purple colour scheme. But, a true card player, the writer zooms in on the upstart casino’s incredible BKJK Bowl blackjack tournament that will award a total of more than $50,000 in cash prizes by the end of the Grand Final coming up during Super Bowl week.
“As poker players who have honed our skills in grueling poker tournaments over the years,” reads the article, “Blackjack tournaments, with their reliance on position and strategy, are the way to go. Also, because we’re poker players, we can’t resist good value when we see it, and the Sunday night Weekly Bowls at Lucky 18 Casino offer just that.”
“This site does everything very well, and is easy and quick to navigate,” continues the review. “It’s also keen to stress that it is open to US players, in line with its mission to provide players with exclusive entertainment and the best odds in the business (better than Vegas remember). So, whether affiliate or intrigued poker player, we can safely recommend Lucky18Casino.com as the place to go to cut your online casino teeth and we declare it the Break Out Casino of the Year.”
Lucky18 Casino offers state-of-the-art games and millions in jackpots from Realtime Gaming (RTG), the only one of the major online casino software providers still open to US players. The biggest progressive jackpots available to US players -- Jackpot Pinata, Shopping Spree and Midlife Crisis -- are offered at Lucky 18. Lucky18Casino’s $1800 Deposit Bonus is the most generous anywhere and they provide toll-free telephone support 24-7 to players around the world including the U.S.

Lucky 18 is absolutely no better than most other RTG based online casinos. I can tell this for sure from my intense and long lasting experience with them. The only difference is that they will be holding the better parties in Mexico and Amsterdam.

Good to hear that you've been paid completely.
I won't be promoting this site to players - a US$2,000 per week limit is far too low to be considered a serious gaming site - and the fact that they were unable to meet that low rate of payment suggests either a seriously under-funded site or that paying players was not a priority for their staff.
Either way, Lucky 18 Casino has demonstrated that it's not to be considered anything other than another poor RTG skin, that will not give a quality experience to winning players.
I cannot see how they can be recommended as a place to play.

I find $2000 a week acceptable IF the casino sticks to it and pays without struggles. The 2 Million Jackpot winner would not really enjoy it though.
I would hope that RTG would make special arrangements for any Jackpot winners.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!
Hey Mike,
I do not yet promote casino sites. I will be soon as the sites get built. Working on them now.
But based on your replies, i do think your a decent AM that seems to really want to help affiliates here so i just thought i would let you know i for one appreciate your efforts.
Would be great if you could keep on top of payment issues a tad more so not to have these negative posts.
Not that its your fault, but perhaps making a bit of an extra effort will go along way!
Cheers Mate
Wow, what a story this one is. Glad it worked out in the end - Even though it's pretty ridiculous!
Unfortunately RTG get a bad name because of these few badies out there - I'd only stick to the big and reputable ones that are being talked about on Casinomeister - As there are quite a few that seem to be very popular over there.
Mike,
You know that is not what the case was at all. There was no date set as to when i would be paid. We had a agreement and now i see you in here lying about it? I don't know what the special favor is that you are talking about. You was the first one to contact me about placing the banner on the forum. You was the one that kept telling me " you will be paid tomorrow" everytime i talked to you. This post really upsets me because you are lying about the whole deal that was made. As soon as our agreement is made at the end of March i will not continue to promote Lucky18 as there are more and better casinos that i deal with. I still can't believe that you made this post. Shame on you!
There has obviously been some confusion along the way. I regret to see you consider me a liar, this isn't the case. We encourage affiliates to visit our affiliate site to learn about the details of their affiliation. Question 2 in the FAQ's clearly states that we pay out on the 15th of every month: https://lucky18affiliates.com/faq.aspx
Occassionaly we will make exceptions if the affiliate makes a special request as was the case this time. Without getting in to specifics, this affiliate requested payment before the 15th and I did my best to make it happen as speedily as possible. I however, do not control payments, there is a process here that requires authorization from accounting and ultimately from the CEO.
As far as you choosing not to work with Lucky 18 in the future, we find it unfortunate that despite our best efforts to accomodate your requests for early payment; as well as the fact that you feel the need to criticize Lucky 18, weeks after payment was made (before all other affiliates for this pay period), well then perhaps its for the best that we part ways and put this behind us.
We here at Lucky 18 Casino value our partnerships with affiliates and work hard to maintain a healthy relationship with each of them. 99% of our affiliates are content with our affiliate program and enjoy dealing with us.
Looking back, I wish I had been more clear to this affiliate about our payment dates, so as to avert this problem. Going forward, I intend to use this experience to better help new affiliates understand how Lucky 18 operates.
Good luck to you all.
Mike
I did not make a special request for payment. This is just another lie that you are telling Mike. You told me that you sent my details to your CEO before he went to the CAP meeting in London. You also told me that if it were up to you that i would have been paid sooner than i was and that i had been more than patient in the waiting. I understand that you are new to the business but that does not give you the right to try to bluff your way out of saying untrue things. All i can say is when dealing with affiliate managers beware everyone and make sure that you keep your chats with them so that you have someting to fall back on so when this sort of thing happens. I am done with this topic and goodluck to you Mike in your endeavor to redeem yourself when this happens again. see ya
Got a response from them

I've heard enough!! This outfit is coming down off of my site, Michael can keep them here if he wants to but I am not going to subject my players to this sort of shoddy behavior. And the Rep Mike will not even bother to respond in here with a half way decent answer without trying to spin some other answer. Jeez, when are we all going to learn with these RTG fly-by-night crooks!

I'm curious now how Michael gets involved with a program that he has listed here on the GPWA when he becomes aware of a situation like this. Michael, would you mind commenting on this and letting us know how the GPWA will benefit this affiliate now, that is owed this $16K please...Thanks
I'm happy report everything was handled in a timely and professional manner with this affiliate. Unfortunately, this matter was made public before being handled internally. In the future I ask that if any affs have concerns or questions regarding their account, simply drop me an email and I'll be happy to get everything organized.
Thanks,
Mike Hochman
