Lightbulb I am total Freshman and I want to say hello here! Some questions to experts please..

    Good day!

My name is Dima. I'm from Russia and I'm very glad I found this forum. I beg your pardon, if my English will be inaccurate - the life was such that I had to learn it yourself.

At the moment I finish university, and I am very interested in the gambling business. Since childhood, I was playing a different game, I was interested in strategy and tactics .. but unfortunately, a few years ago in Russia is completely banned from casinos, poker, blackjack and everything related to gaming. But I quickly discovered it all on the internet, and took it. By profession I am a software engineer, I am well versed in web sites, SEO ..

It took me awhile to realize that I can earn affiliate programs, but it seems to me really very difficult! None of my friends did not earn this way. So I was very happy when I saw how many people from around the world talking here, share their experience.

Hopefully, I draw some useful information for me here. Please do not be angry at my stupid questions sometimes, I'm a beginner, but I have big plans.

First question: what qualities a person must possess to succeed in this area?
I am stubborn and I`m not afraid of hardworking, I like talking and I can persuade people. What else is really important?

Second question: should I have a lot of money for that kind of business?
I am student, and salary in Russia is much less than the wages in the U.S. and Europe.. but I can make a lot of work by myself.

Hi Dima, welcome to GPWA. In my opinion the most important qualities for an affiliate are SEO knowledge (or even PPC if you prefer to go down that road) and obviously hard work and a lot of patience. Like many aspects of life... the more money you have the better. If you are strategic, knowledgeable, patient and hard working enough you can succeed without a budget. If you had one it obviously speeds progress up. Good luck and as an FYI I know there are profitable Russian language affiliate sites.

Thanks, F-L-C. Yes, there are profitable Russian language affiliate sites, I learned them, and I do not see nothing impossible. If we compare Russia with the rest of the world - we have very little competition, and this I think is good. But we have little knowledge and experience, that's why I'm here.. just don`t know what to start from! I`m a little lost among such a large amount of information!

    Hi Dima,

Welcome to the GPWA. Hopefully you will find all the answers you need here.

Q1 - You have all the attributes you need and probably in the correct order also.

Q2 - Many of us started our businesses with little or no money. Hard work, determination and loads of time is all that you need. However, don't look for a get rich quick scheme, this takes time and not all affiliates many enough money to survive on.

It's a cut-throat business at times and can be very frustrating to work in. However, the rewards are there for the brave / lucky / clever (delete as appropriate.)

Wishing you success in your new found business.

BTW, I can`t find how to edit signature in my profile, it`s very strange or I`m very tired right now. Can you help me?
