Hi, my name is Floris Assies. I'm Dutch, I live in Spain. I've been working in the casino affiliates business since june 2017. First as an employee and since September 2018 I've been a freelancer. Over the years I have built a small SEO agency called Coherentes.com that helps casino affiliates with SEO and building and managing sites.

I ended up in the industry more or less by chance but I have enjoyed the path my career took ever since. However, my real dream has always been to start a business and in some way make the world a bit better. So in 2020, I came up with the idea to combine my igaming and SEO knowledge with my passion for sustainability. As it seemed, nobody was yet doing anything in this niche so I decided to go for it. This resulted in creating BetterWorldCasinos.com

The idea is simpel: review casinos, and specifically the operators behind the brands, on their sustainable / CSR (corporate social responsibility) / ESG (environmental, social and governance) performance and provide information to players about which brands do the most good for society.

Besides the focus on players I also find the B2B side of the business very interesting and decided that my website can also function as a platform to share ideas, best practices, ESG news and more, and this way build a community of like-minded people.

Now, almost 3 years since the birth of the idea progress has been slow and steady. So far more than 80% of my time has been spent running my agency and the rest is spread between this startup, my family and the rest of my life.

But now that the foundation is there and I have a clear concept and roadmap, I want to pick up speed and spend more time on.

And now I am here on the GPWA forum looking for like-minden people, conversations, feedback and help.

I would love to hear from:

  1. Anyone who is also interested in sustainability / ESG and CSR? Please contact me, I’d love to have a conversation and I’m also looking for guests for my podcast ‘the Gamble’.
  2. Anyone from a big company that needs to comply with the CSRD (Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive - next year any company that is publicly-listed with greater than 250 employees, EUR 40 million+ turnover, and/or EUR 20 million+ in total assets needs to report on their ESG)? I’m very interested in helping out!
  3. Anyone with experience doing market research. I want to survey players and other stakeholders to get data on how they feel about the topic. Anyone has any experience with this? I created a survey (can't post links yet, you can find it via on my blog) , would love for anyone to fill it out.

What are the (unwritten) rules to using this forum? I’ve never really participated on a forum before, so if there are any do’s and don’ts that I should know of.
