Club Gold casino only give the players a small part in German, the normal but not specific bonus terms, because the important rules are written in the general terms and conditions.

I will translate the German rules:

This promotion includes a "welcome bonus" and refers to the terms of the welcome bonuses that are described in the general terms and conditions of Club Gold Casino.

I see! The terms of the welcome bonus are not the most important. If it goes to suspending accounts the general terms and conditions are important and valid, which are not written in German and full of bonus rules!

Not in German!

The next pitfall (I will translate):

My personal belief is that the terms and conditions are difficult enough for the average player to understand in their own language - let alone understand and be accountable for them in a language foreign to them.

This is a very good point Leopold. If the player can't read the term, how can they follow it, I get that. But, it doesn't change the fact it is still the players responsibility to understand the terms they are agreeing to. Even if they have to use Google translate in order to understand it.

no, the casino have to make shure, that a German player can understand the full contract in his native language because it's about money, real money! All reliable casinos are doing this overall the world.

Even if they have to use Google translate in order to understand it.

Google translate is worthless for translating these rules from English to German. If you do it, sometimes only nonsens will be translated because the rules are complicated and one single word can change all.

Everybody, who reads this topic from the beginning, can see which way the wind is blowing.

My disclaimer here: I have nothing at all against Club Gold Casino. I do not promote them and quite frankly, casino is not my area of focus.

With that in mind, Google translate only does so good. In the English version of the terms and conditions:

"1.5. These T&C are published in English and translated into a number of other languages for information purposes and for Your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy between the English version and that of any other language, the English version shall prevail and shall form the basis of the legal relationship between You and the Casino."

To be fair, the above term is nothing out of the ordinary, as this type of language is commonplace amongst other online casinos, poker sites, and bingo websites.

I'm unable to see what languages the casino is available in. Based on Leopold's commentary, I'm going to assume the website is available in German like he says and to the extent he states.

With that in mind, it is inferred that Club Gold Casino targets German players. However, they do not provide terms & conditions written in German. Even if they did, however, the English rules would trump the native German version per the above listed term.

Anthony's suggestion is to use Google translate. I only speak English, so I have difficulty picturing how well G-translate goes from English to German. I can say, however, that when translating another language to English using Google translate, it reads like content a .5 cent per word writer would come up with on his own - before using a content spinner. I can only imagine how a legal document reads. Thus, because the G translated version translates word for word, it does not translate to 100% reflect the letter/spirit of the laws set up in the terms and conditions. It too would not be THE legal/binding contract.

To me, this suggests that most players who do not have a mastery level understanding of the English language may not be able to understand the terms & conditions. This ups the likelihood that a player "could" be in violation of a term. This also ups the odds of a casino being able to freeroll on a player.

I say freeroll because if the player plays a game not covered under the bonus terms, he cannot win. If he loses, he loses his money regardless of not being permitted to play the game he is playing. If he hits a win, he cannot request a cash out because he played an unauthorized game.

The house has enough of an edge without such an extra advantage. And again, this is not a knock on Club Gold specifically. This is an industry-wide problem in my opinion and one that needs addressed.

That aside, and this may be more appropriate in a different thread - when I visit www.ClubGoldCasino.com from a US ip address, I receive the following message:

as i have linked from my 1st post in this topic it's about the obviously deceit of Club Gold Casino, not to translate the full terms & conditions, which are crucial at the end of the day, in German since years but making promotions in German to decoy non English speaking players into a trap to have a reason to avoid paying out winners.

in my opinion, is more derailing than any "name calling", as it attempts to shift the focus from the fact that Club Gold does in fact have a German version of their site, yet does not provide a legal copy of their terms and conditions on said German version of the site.
