Google update June

According to the https://algoroo.com/ and https://www.semrush.com/sensor/?cate...are=category!1 we should be prepared for new changes.
Some of my colleagues say that their positions after May Update are coming back (medicine, e-commerce).
My gambling websites are increasing too. From the last update I was working with schema, improved and updated pages

Whats amazing is that 2 of my old sites that are never updated and i dont take care of anymore went up in ranks while the sites i work on and keep current tanked

Are you saying that the positions coming back after the May update are because of this new June update? Or is that unrelated, and this June update could send them right back to the bottom again? Because I see the words "June update" and I'm already thinking "Oh no, not again ..."

There are some changes, but I don't know what is the real reason. And I also notices that some old websites are having better and better seo positions...

Old websites with a good backlink profile have gained. My new sites that have better SEO have lost.

30% drop in traffic with May Update. But we saw a little sunshine in June. A little above 10% increase in organic traffic and its gradually rising.

Am still waiting to see how schema and some new sections work out. Fingers crossed.

I didn't do any backlinks. Was purely focused on content.

I think it's very difficult for new sites to rank, even with excellent content and some strong back links. Like above, all I'm mostly seeing is older sites ranking well. Any new backlinks or content changes seem to be having very little, or no affect at all on positions.

Starting a new site? Better be prepared to wait 2 years for rankings to really pickup.

I haven't seen any significant changes. Maybe only a handful of my sites will have a reasonably prominent increase in traffic.

Google is always making updates and a lot of the time it doesn’t really make much of a difference to most of my sites. I'll just have to keep working on it.

I too focus mainly on seo and have stopped working with backlinks and such.

Still hoping to see better days up ahead for all of us. Anything's possible with Google.

This update is focused to government sites mostly as well as health organisations pages. I guess that's because of COVID mainly.

Globally online traffic dropped 20-30% after the end of lockdowns, that had a greater impact then google updates, at is why everyone is see an increase in July, because traffic as globally increased.
Those are my 5c on this topic.

You'd be surprised how many times a day Google updates their algorithm.

They change it thousands of times a year.

I agree. A lot of efforts in the past months but very little changes...
