Default Google Cutting Search Quality Rater Jobs

Seems Google is cutting ties with the agency that provides the Quality Raters.

Looks like they are moving everything onto AI.

As in the comments in the article, the subject of the poor quality of search results has been raised more than once on GPWA. I often see rubbish pages ranking high.
So this is probably a good move.

Search Round Table have ammended the report - seems they are moving the jobs to an alternative agency, not AI.

Yes, this time is just a change of vendors. However, agencies are aware that AI continues to gain ground, and it is only a matter of time before it replaces a good part of them (at least those that don't keep up and don't offer a better cost-benefit ratio).

Yes, not surprising that they are still going to be dependent on human assessment of search results on some level within Google. AI still some way to go.
