Default GaminGang: Affiliate program for 50statescasino.com

GaminGang is the affiliate program for 50statescasino.com, a Top Game casino. In my opinion, they have demonstrated unethical behavior (spamming) at worst, and poor business practices (not verifying email addresses on owned, bought, or harvested email lists against their existing affiliates' email addresses) at the least.

    Here is my experience.

    1. On 18 May 2009, in response to an email from "Bruce Finaldi" [email protected], I registered for and was approved as a GaminGang affiliate.

    2. On 23 May 2009, I received an email from "Jacky Trades" [email protected] inviting me to join the GaminGang affiliate program.

    "From: Jacky Trades <[email protected]>
Subject: Introducing Our New US friendly Casino
    To: "Jacky Trades" <[email protected]>
    Date: Saturday, May 23, 2009, 3:07 AM

    Dear Webmaster,

Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Jacky Tradestone and I am one of the founders of www.gamingang.com affiliate program.

I wanted to try and explore ways of us working together and promoting our new US friendly www.50statescasino.com brand.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Regards,

    Jack"

    3. On 27 May 2009, I attached Jacky's email in an email that I sent to Bruce and Jacky, asking that they coordinate their efforts, as I had already signed up and been approved as a GaminGang affiliate.

    "From: [email protected] <[email protected]>
Subject: Re: Introducing Our New US friendly Casino
    To: "Jacky Trades" <[email protected]>, "Bruce Finaldi" <[email protected]>
    Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 7:06 AM

    Jacky and Bruce,

Please coordinate your email distribution lists. I received this email from Jacky after having received a similar email from Bruce and registering as an affiliate with Gamingang.

    4. On 09 July 2009, I received the following email from Jade Shuster ([email protected]):

    "From: Jade Shuster <[email protected]>
    Subject: Introduction to GaminGang
    To: undisclosed recipients
    Date: Thursday, July 9, 2009, 8:46 AM

    Dear Webmaster,

Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Jade and I represent gamingang.com

I have stumbled upon your Site and I believe it's a perfect fit for our properties…By the way I think you are doing an exceptional work! I wanted to try and explore ways of us working together, I have few ideas in mind.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Regards,

    Jade."

    5. On 13 July 2009, I received an email from Sam ([email protected]) nearly identical to the email from Jade.

As a result of my experience, I have blacklisted both the GaminGang affiliate program and 50statescasino.com. The reason for blacklisting the affiliate program is clear from my experience above. The reason for blacklisting the casino is that if the affiliate program shows this kind of behavior, there is no reason to think that the associated casino will not as well -- in spite of the casino's "anti-spam" policy.

and poor business practices (not verifying email addresses on owned, bought, or harvested email lists against their existing affiliates' email addresses) at the least.
Too many groups fail this test. (even some of the ones I consider to be above this)

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

Yep! Too many do, and it's very annoying.

    Hello Robert,
I feel you deserve an explanation:
We have hired several new affiliate managers who are eager to sign in new affiliates. And your site is a very good site…and it got their attention.
They were looking towards possibly signing you in as an affiliate and they didn't check if you are already signed up to our program. Their eagerness to work with you has been shown by their approaching you.
We are a new affiliate program, and I can 100% assure you that we have no intention of offending affiliates and potential affiliates ,our new recruited team is very eager to succeed and sometimes this eagerness can lead to such situations.
We are now in the stage of implementing a system of protocol where this will not happen again.. Sometimes, there are mistakes as has been shown in your case, and we do apologize for this, no bad intensions believe me.
Robert, if you have any issues regarding GaminGang that need to be resolved, I will gladly help you out, you can always email me.
    Best Regards,
    Bruce Finaldi
    Affiliate Director
