So, All Slots Casino (Brightshare) have shut down their live dealers.
Anyone has a guesstimate as to how come?
And should we expect this to happen across other live casinos?

I think unless you're planning to really push live games it's a difficult market to crack. For one thing the rate of play is substantially slower than RNG games and offline play. Decreased rate of play results in less wagers which leads to lower profits. Either you need to find a way to encourage your players to play higher stakes or you might well be better of channeling them through to the RNG games.

Personally, I think the opposite, I think blackjack and roulette and baccarat RNG will be phased out, and eventually live will be the way forward. Some tables are "turbo" some standard, standard are very slow. But I don't think the actions of one single brand are anything to go by.

I would agree with the above. I havent really done much research on Live dealers but personally if I were betting large dollar amounts I would prefer a Live dealer. If I am just messing around playing $5 a hand then it wouldn't really matter me. Just a hunch but I would say Live is the way of the future.

Speaking in regards to Live Casino Partners, we have seen a big increase in the past year for all of our Live Dealer Casinos.
We know we aren't at RNG levels of popularity because Live Dealers are a relatively newer niche, but our numbers tell us that we are doing something right. Every year we steadily increase in the amount of players and revenue we bring in, as well as having a good player retention.
In my opinion, I think when somebody shuts something down there are always a large amount of factors that have to be taken into consideration. I am interested in finding out why it happened but like low risk mentioned before, one brand making a decision shouldn't represent the whole picture of things.
Thanks!

I think the growth of LCP and their properties can be attributed to a number of factors, such as the casinos treating players well, support staff doing a good job, and an affiliate staff that has their finger on what both affiliates and players are looking for.
I too agree that what BS did should not reflect on the pulse of the industry...
I do not see where even if live gaming continues to grow (I think it will) I still do NOT see RNG gaming ending any time soon since some may prefer that type of gaming.

I think that the overheads for live-dealer casinos are higher, and so there is a higher cost factor involved.
I expect artificial RNG products to dominate volumes for the forseeable future.

I don't really push live dealer games yet on my sites. However, from a players point of view I really like the live dealer thing and can't see it being phased out anytime soon. The only problem with live dealer games online is that they can tend to be a little slower to play.
Whether or not that translates to lower revenues and profits, I'm not sure. I tend to play for longer on the live dealer games.

My understanding is that the live dealer thing appeals to different demographics. Asians trust live dealers more than RNG games and I would expect that high rollers would prefer a live dealer, particularly if they can also chat with other players as well as the dealer.

...and yet Brightshare shut their own live dealers down?
I agree with tryme (below) too, about live dealers' appeal to some, particularly players from Asia and high rollers.
Still trying to make sense of why Brightshare have shut theirs down...
It's an interesting decision by Brightshare but agree with the points made above that there could be several contributing factors.
Live gaming is definitely still growing. Yes it's expensive to run but when you weigh that against it's attraction to the high rollers it does work as a business. Because our games are streamed from live casinos, as opposed to studios we share the overhead with our land-based partners so that helps the numbers stack up.
The transparency of live gaming also fosters loyalty and retention. Games are a bit slower but there's no reason why players can't play a couple of tables at a time to keep themselves occupied. Also it's a worthy trade-off for high-rollers of slower games versus 'trusting' RNGs.
There's room for both RNG and Live but I think Live will lead the way in terms of shaping the future of gaming.

Can I ask how you guys found out that BS pulled the live dealer games? I've not received any notification from them. Does this apply to all BS brands, ie. All Jackpots too?
Also, what works for one may not work for all - By that I mean, just because the likes of William Hill, 888, Paddy etc all make good ££ from live casino, thats not to say that Bright Share automatically will. There could be many reasons why they have ceased, if they actually have, which so far doesn't seem to have been confirmed
I heard it from them.
And we posted it too:

The banners will link to their flash casino I believe. I can check for details if you need more.

I've recently heard of another brand (not related to BS) shutting it's doors to live games based on the argument that the profit per deposit was less compared to the RNG games. They wanted to make more money on a per deposit bases. I personally feel the people who make these decisions based on focusing these short term metrics (profit per deposit) are short minded. My response to this would be to ask about the player retention, profit per player, engagement, and overall player satisfaction. It's my opinion that the casino industry provides entertainment .This means not focusing on getting as the most revenue in the shortest amount of time possible, but providing the best experience possible.
Yes, the high overhead has been a challenge for our program. Our margins are much lower compared to an exclusive RNG program.
I think that the 3D rendered slots are a step in the right direction to re-inventing RNG slots.
I believe that the live dealer games will continue to experience strong growth. I think that the live dealer games are just scratching the surface of what they could be. I always challenge software companies that we deal with to make new games and add new features.

This part is really well said Adrian
I look forward to where live gaming could take us in the coming years. This means not focusing on getting as the most revenue in the shortest amount of time possible, but providing the best experience possible.

Intercasino are optimistic, it would seem.
"Live Dealer Coming Soon! InterCasino will be launching Live Dealer soon.We will be sending you the full details of our new exciting product shortly so please keep your eyes open! Our suite of live streaming games will include Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat."
surely they can afford to have both products and it made their affiliate program more appealing to be able to send players to rng or live dealer.
They closed their sportsbook earlier and sounds like they are cutting back on more.
At least the affiliate programs that provide them specifically are way better than the regular ones regarding support, payments and honesty/transparancy.
I don't think the actions of a single operator can be seen as representative of the industry as a whole. RNG casinos and sportsbetting sites go bust all the time while the good operators and the industry generally continues to grow. I think we'll see the same for live dealers, with most support from the bigger operators due to the higher marginal costs of offering these games (particularly blackjack)
