"Old affiliates were making money from old traffic they can't sustain now and are still reaping the rewards."

That is what a lifetime revenue share is - I send you a player today and in exchange, you compensate me xx% of the business I brought you for the life of the player. There is no "what have you done for me lately" about it. Player A referred - player A has nothing to do with whether or not I send you a player B, C, D, E...

Lifetime means lifetime. I'd love to see this one go to the courts.

I stopped by the Foxy Bingo booth to discuss the Cashcade issue. There was an affiliate waiting to speak with them as well, I asked him to join me in meeting with them and we could discuss our issues with Foxy together. We spoke with Adel Lawson GVC’s Group Head of Bingo, she said they made the decision to close the affiliate program because it was no longer profitable and that they didn’t feel they shouldn’t be paying commissions on players affiliates brought them years ago. They were tired of affiliates getting the lion’s share of the profits and getting rich off the backs of programs. So to help the bottom line they closed the program, stole the affiliate commissions and then in a slap to the face of affiliates re-opened the program in hopes to sucker new affiliates to signing up with no lifetime commission, quotas and reduced commission rates.

As everyone knows GVC has contracted Active Wins to manage their new affiliate program. After the deplorable actions GVC has taken, Active Wins should have known better to take on a site that just ended their affiliate program in sucha harmful way to affiliates.
Adel said “we only want to work with affiliates we want to work with.?They will be cherrypicking though the affiliates they met with at LAC to determine who is worthy of promoting their brands. The arrogance and distain for affiliates shown by GVC make me worry for affiliates that are currently working with them because I feel the Foxy move is one out of many that they will be making in the future.

I have yet to speak with Active Wins directly, I certainly will when I return, but in my opinion action should be taken against them as well.

Great time to blacklist every single site of GVC. Sooner or later they will do this in every saturated market.

It's a shame Active Wins has chosen to work with them, it has put a dark cloud over what was a great program to work with.

Someone should let that UKGC woman who's all over the press lately that affiliates exist and are getting scammed and shaved by operators with a valid UKGC licence. And that it's getting worse and worse, it's becoming a standard business practice. As one operator gets away with it, another gets ideas, and on and on we go.

The industry has never been shadier.

    Kudos Anthony.

Give it a few months and they will be sending emails begging the larger affiliates for traffic.. Think my top positions are booked up for the foreseeable future ... wouldn't want to waste my valuable time coding, re-writing info so it up to date and doing hours of seo to send players that eventually won't be profitable to GVC, or me when I am dropped and the activewins affiliate program gets dropped.... wonder how many links they will lose.. some smaller sites like Think and Cheeky Bingo etc will surely have to close soon when everyone stops promoting... hope it is worth it for them.. and I wish them the best of luck with the advertising with other methods especially as there has been a crack down on daytime tv advertising..

Just to let you know that yesterday we formally told Foxy that we would no longer be promoting either FoxyBingo or Foxy Casino on our sites.

Whilsi it is everyone's own decision, based on their own commercials (and morals and ethics!) but I would strongly encourage everyone to do the same.

This is isn't only about Foxy, it actually could be the start of the end of the whole affiliate business model if Plc boardrooms across the sector see what GVG have done and think 'hey great idea, we can **** them too, and add a shedload to our bottom line in one move'. We cannot as an industry take this lying down. Foxy today who tomorrow?

    Exactly.

We will not be putting a penny into the coffers of GVC via any of their brands regardless of the type of deal offered (cpa/flat fee).

I only promote brands that I trust and as the whole trust has gone out of the window with these GVC brands I will certainly not be promoting in the future however if someone else wants to promote that is up to them.

Companies get too big thinking they can do better and then let go of those that helped them get where they are today. Not all bingo players joining their brands have sat at home watching Jeremy Kyle adverts all day.... the majority of players have looked for another bingo site, seen an advert on one of the affiliate sites and thought oh hey I like the look of Foxy instead..

If there is a profitability problem perhaps the company needs to look at themselves and not the affiliates for why players are not spending or converting as much as they used to....

I will say there are many affiliates out there that are causing a problem in the affiliate industry with spam emails, miss leading content and low quality information and I feel there should be some sort of clean up on this but getting all the affiliates annoyed is not a great way to do business.

Remember the bigger a company.. the bigger the fall...

This is the right thing to do in my opinion, Phil. We all must take a collective stand or else we all will ultimately take a substantial reduction in pay.

    Default Active Wins Suspended

We received a reply from Active Wins and unfortunately the situation remains unchanged. We need to be clear to GVC and Active Wins that their actions have consequences.

Active Wins GPWA sponsorship has been suspended. This forum will remain open while the transition is taking place and affiliates are looking for their final payments.

    "

... and to demonstrate that also actions, real actions will be done in this case if clowns believe GPWA is their circus arena and webmasters idiots.

I will report tomorrow in my lucid diary in the fun area to bring more attention to it.

I agree. We need to take a collective stand and make an example of their unethical actions! I won't be promoting them either and all the GVC brands I promoted went straight to my Rogue lists!

I have had a lot of pressure selling from Active Wins to promote Foxy. I've told them where to go. We all need to stand together on this.

Same, I've updated all foxy pages with reasoning why they are blacklisted and recommending other sites

It might be better to take them down entirely? Even bad press is press and still gives them brand recognition?

I think it is better to be honest and change affiliate links to a direct competitor. There is already brand recognition.
