So rumor has it that you are now responsible for the Foxy Bingo affiliate program. When can the affiliates who worked for years promoting Foxy Bingo expect to have their players associated with them and "lifetime commissions" restored?

Activewins is a good program that we have been happy to partner with over the years. Surely they will not be a party to the wholesale theft of players as GVC Holdings Plc seems intent on doing?
The only way forward is to migrate all referred accounts from cashcade to the activewins platform. If this does not happen then there is no way any affiliate could promote a GVC Holdings brand in future.

Hi Justbookies,
Unfortunately, we do not have access to any information prior to ActiveWins taking the program. If there are any discrepancies with the old affiliate program for Foxy, please contact Cashcade directly. For those attending LAC, a representative from Foxy will be at our stand (L4), so please do come by to address any concerns. As always, we would like to get you up and running across any of our brands that you are not currently promoting and would be happy to discuss how we can move forward together.
Regards-Bernadette

Surely you have to be aware that any affiliate that knows about the previous screwover is highly unlikely to promote them under Active Wins.
So isn't it in your best interests to help get credit passed across? Otherwise you've just found yourself promoting a dead fish of a brand.

Our relationship with affiliates is our main priority. We understand the situation some affiliates are in because of the change in platforms, which is why there will be a representative from Foxy at our stand at LAC. Foxy will be there for the duration of the show to answer any questions. As always, we will try to assist where possible.

What about people who won't be at LAC?
I think you guys need to explain why you're happy to take on a program who have just screwed all their affiliates in one big go... or if they haven't then that's certainly what it looks like from the outside and I'd imagine you'd want to crush that feeling as soon as possible?
Any affiliate who is not at LAC, but has questions about their Foxy account should email details to [email protected] and can expect a reply within 48 hours. The Foxy team are also meeting with affiliates at LAC to discuss their account.
If that's the case then I suggest three courses of action. Our relationship with affiliates is our main priority.
1. Cross reference data from the old Cashcade system, restore lifetime revshare and restore affiliate's faith in the brands
OR
2. Pay affiliates for the next three months revshare from their "lifetime players" as in the original contract. Not as good as (1) but it papers over the cracks a little.
OR
3. Tell Foxy where to shove his new affiliate program and stand with your affiliates in denouncing shady practices within the industry.
... that's if your relationship with affiliates is truly your main priority.

This is the email address that cashcade affiliates send their invoices to (well it is actually .co.uk). While I have always found this bookkeeping department to be very helpful and efficient and they always acknowledge the invoices and state when they are accepted, they are not the affiliate department. The fact GVC Holdings / Cashcade has given this wholly inappropriate and inapplicable email address to Activewins to pass on to affiliates demonstrates that GVC Holdings / Cashcade have not softened one iota on their stance and are still telling affiliates to go f*** themselves. P.S: Lifetime means lifetime.
It's not ideal but it was the terms in the original contract regarding closure. Of course the argument could be that the affiliate program isn't closing (it's just moving platform) so in that respect yes it would be unacceptable. This solution would be completely unacceptable
Whatever - it's a shady move by Cashcade that's shafted affiliates and if affiliates are truly their main priority, Active Wins should not be supportive of such practices.

Yes, I do believe if it was tested in court the 3-month clause would have a red line put through it because the program is not closing - it is carrying on. I have been in court over a contract before (different business) and they do see straight through con tricks and will not uphold them.
I've recently signed up to GPWA, and been a lurker for a while. Like many, I'm getting completely screwed by Foxy Bingo. Thanks to the members of this forum I was made aware that Foxy Bingo will be attending LAC alongside ActiveWins. I definitely wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to meet them.
Firstly, I had a chat with a nice enough chap from ActiveWins, I explained the situation, he was aware of what Foxy Bingo were doing and directed me to a booth which was plastered with Foxy Bingo advertising. It was at this point I naively thought that I would probably achieve the outcome I was looking for since they were so bold with their brand presence at the conference. I had a 10 minute or so discussion with Adele Lawton at GVC (Cashcade), from the outset it was made very clear to me that I wouldn’t have my old players ported over, and no other affiliates would either. She was very open about the reasons for them closing it, they were;
- Old affiliates were making a lot of money from traffic they can't sustain now, and are still reaping the rewards
- The old system (dragonfish) wasn't complex enough to allow custom affiliate deals in the way they would like. I quickly stated that many other operators have changed platform and they have managed to port over old players.
- She stated gambling operators were getting squeezed more and more, and lifetime deals would not be feasible for them any longer even through ActiveWins. She stated the new ActiveWins affiliate contract has not been formed yet.
My feeling is that Foxy is a failing brand, a simple look at Google Trends will show this, powers at the top are cutting costs and a simple way to do this is to wipe out all affiliates and start fresh. It’s a narrow minded short term win, it just amazes me that companies never seem to learn that they need to work with affiliates not against them.
I've been in the industry as an affiliate for over 12 years and I've never come across such unacceptable treatment to affiliates. We've certainly seen some really shady practises over the years from companies where they introduce a tiered structure retrospectively (such as bWin and William Hill), but I've never had a affiliate account closed like this while the company is still operating and accepting new affiliates.
I will likely be taking the legal route now.

MInteresting comment from Fred Done here - saying affiliates are important - kind of contrary to the Cashcade approach. I find Done's comments at odds to how Cashcade have acted making the Active Wins deal even more strange.

Thanks Woodstock. Looks like the GVC take over has thrown up some more issues.
