We use facebook to show our community what games are up and to link to our sites. It is a great way of sending in social traffics.

It is okay to post on FB every once in a while to keep your page "live". But most people will get better value by putting their efforts elsewhere.

Facebook for promoting a gambling site in 2024? It's kinda hit or miss. Too strict ad policies to navigate. If webmaster is savvy about it and target your audience right, it could work. But, it's not a surefire thing.

Whether Facebook is worth using to promote a gambling site depends on various factors, including your target audience, marketing strategy, and compliance with Facebook's advertising policies. While Facebook can still be a valuable platform for reaching potential players and driving traffic to your site, it's essential to consider the effectiveness of your marketing efforts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, exploring other marketing channels and strategies alongside Facebook may provide a more comprehensive approach to reaching your audience and achieving your business goals.

If there are no paid ads, but just regular posts, would these still be flagged?

No, it shouldn't. Many of the issues discussed in this thread are specific to paid ads. If what you want is to support your SEO, give some legitimacy to your site and generate some traffic (I would keep expectations low with the latter) it is a good alternative.

I do a lot of posts and they never get flagged by Facebook. As long as the posts obey the big community rules (no racism, no scams etc) they are fine. But your facebook page needs to be very well built if you want traffic and clicks from those posts. If you ask me, Facebook is a good source of traffic, but it is not worth all the headaches to get approved for gambling ads.

I think the best use of Facebook is to build a community and then use it to promote other channels to that community. This way, if you want to start a telegram channel, for example, you can get a good number of members for your new telegram very fast.
