Default Evolution Gaming managers abusing employees in Georgia

    Sup fellow members,

Just wanted to share some concerning news from my country, Georgia. Evolution Gaming has opened a branch here, hiring cheap labor for roles like live casino dealers. Unfortunately, the working conditions are extremely poor, with managers reportedly abusing employees during live streams and mocking them in group chats. Some of these conversations have been leaked, exposing the managers' appalling behavior.

Today, nearly 5,000 employees protested by not showing up to work. They are demanding better working conditions and the dismissal of these abusive managers. However, the Georgian management's response has been dismissive, stating they don't care and highlighting the availability of non-protesting workers.

This situation is deeply troubling. I believe the higher management of Evolution Gaming would be ashamed if they knew what was happening. Although I could share the leaked group chats, they are in Georgian, but they reveal a pattern of collective bullying and abuse.

It's disheartening to see such behavior continue without any intervention. I hope there are some Evolution employees here who are not from Georgia and can help address this issue. Something must be done to stop these managers from abusing their power

Some additional information about this matter:

Mautskebeli, a Georgian trade union news source, shed light on the accusations with published screenshots and communications of Evolution management involved in various issues, including “sexist, racist, and discriminatory remarks against employees.”

Furthermore, these screenshots were accompanied by footage detailing the poor working and sanitary conditions of janitors at the company.

Giorgi Diasamidze, Chair of the LABOR union, is set to lead the strike action on Friday (July 12), announcing that up to 5,000 employees could join the strike. LABOR and Evolution Georgia employees have been negotiating for better rights for around two years, failing to meet an agreement.

P.S. There are about 8,000 employees in total, and 5,000 of them are not going to work. The company's response has been dismissive. This is a tragedy; I would never have imagined such shameful behavior from such a reputable company. If anyone has any connections with them, please kindly inform them that the Georgian management is out of their minds.

Sounds awful. I believe that the protest must have caught the attention of higher staff members in Evolution.

In Latvia, I have heard pretty good things about Evolution gaming, their benefits and more goodies (at one point wanted to join them ). Anyways, every employee should be treated as good as possible, since they are the ones who run company's like this.

It is disheartening, but I have seen so many things in “reputable?companies that it does not surprise me. Five thousand out of eight thousand employees protesting is not a negligible number, so I doubt the higher management is totally unaware of the problem. If the managers in Georgia can indeed sweep this under the rug, it is because the higher management allows it or is extremely incompetent (which I do not think is the case in a company of that size).

Additionally, if Evolution Gaming opened a branch there, they must be able to communicate fluently in the language, especially in this day and age. Therefore, escalating a report and having them review the supporting information should not be a difficult task.

Is the problem significant enough to affect their reputation or cause financial loss? If so, beyond considering whether it’s morally right or wrong, they will take action.

This is a real shame. No one deserves to be treated like this. Terrible.
