Default Email providers no longer allow addresses to be used at TIV???

Here is a chat session that was sent to me concerning TIV's customer support telling a player that the mentioned email providers will no longer allow the addresses to be used with TIV's gambling site.

TIV Rep: we suggest to change your email address
TIV Rep: Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, among others can no longer be used
Player: do you know why we have to change our emails is this something new
Nina: The email providers no longer allow these email address to be used with our online gambling sites

    Is this something new?
    Who are among others?
Will current players still receive emails from the casino?
Will players be able to sign up at all if they use any of these email providers?

I do NOT think that Microsoft or Yahoo stated that players can not use their email accounts to sign up for a players account at This Is Vegas.

However, it could be that TIV has started to disallow those email domains to players since they are possibly having difficulty sending mail to them due to mail server issues such as spam complaints, no valid reverse dns entries, missing spf records.

IF this is the case, that TIV is not allowing the use of these email providers, then CS should not be pointing the finger at the providers and making players thinking that the online gambling crackdown is getting worse and worse by the day. They are freaked out enough as it is.

    Thanks for some incite universal.

My post above is based upon an opinion that I formed KNOWING how some of these email providers work, and it is also based upon the logic of what can happen.

I agree that CS should word that a bit better, and be careful about how they point the finger...

The way the statement was worded gives the appearance that the email provider has made a specific case against a specific casino.

I am not a player at TIV so I can not comment about whether their email domain has the noted record setup, but I can state that 400 Affiliates passes the test of my mail server. (my server checks for a valid reverse and marks the mail if invalid - but passes the mail to the recipeint anyway)

Due to the fact that hosted email solutions are growing at the rate they are, inmyopinion, I think they should look for a solution to this and investigate if in fact it could be fixed by other means.

I know also that in the future, we may all have to look at additional steps for email such as domainkeys, and in many cases this will require mail server software updates, although I do not believe they have started enforcing this yet.
