AI is going to shake up SEO big time in the next five years. Automated keyword research, smarter content optimisation, and predicting what people will search for before they even know it themselves. Basically, AI will help us stay ahead of changing search algorithms and make smarter decisions faster.

It already has. AI has not only changed search engine optimization but also the online world and how we interact with it. In the next five years, I expect an acceleration of these changes, and honestly, I can't imagine what search engine optimization will look like by then.

Only Google (the decisional factor) can change SEO with their algorithms (which are not AI generated, but devised on subjective/human criteria; Google may choose to outrank AI generated content as well). AI is just a tool that sites use for SEO optimization, relative to Google conditions.

As wonderpunter said, it's already changed SEO dramatically. And for the worse. I only see it getting worse until a real Google killer comes along, or Google changes tack.
