Default Did we just got robbed by Centrebetaffiliates/Sportingbetaffiliates??

Mail from Centrebetaffiliates this morning :

    Code:
    Dear Affiliate Partner,

The Centrebet business has recently been taken over by Sportingbet and this agreement
will come into force 1st January 2012.

As a result the Centrebet Affiliate Program will close its door on the 31st December to all
Affiliates promoting to regions outside of Australia. All outstanding payments will be
processed and sent to our affiliate partners using the details registered on their affiliate
    accounts.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your business over the previous
months and wish you the best for the New Year.

Should you wish to continue promoting the Centrebet brand on your site, please contact
the Sportingbet Affiliate Program on [email protected] for further
    information.

    Kind regards

    The Centrebet Affiliate Team
No info about what they will do with all the players we refered. Those players can still keep on betting trough centrebet.com from 1/1-2012.

Are these players not transfered to affiliates accounts at Sportingbetaffiliates??

Or did you make a Bwin/Belosers on us??

There is no mention of a migration of your clients to the SBT system and Sportingbet did once shaft all affiliates and steal their players when they closed their affiliate program only to reopen it several years later. I got that email and thought thank heavens we have very little to lose by this because it does read like they are shafting affiliates. If it is the case that your non-Aussie clients are NOT being migrated to the SBT affiliate system, then I really think a legal Class action should be taken against SBT by affected affiliates. Sportingbet can't be allowed to get away with this type of criminal theft twice. The moral of the story has to be to stay away from SBT. We promote this bunch guardedly, having had our players stolen by them the first time around.

Sorry to hear the story again. We lost the opportunity to make money from the players we referred in the past after the shutting down of some programs.

Ho ho, we dropped SB off some years ago, which might be a right decision. For those short life programs, you probably can do nothing but giving them up.

I have only just noticed this new clause by sportingbet affiliates. Lifetime became 24 months. It appears our account was adjusted on 1/11/2011. Never informed about it. A leopard does not change its spots. Sportingbet is still run by devious ****s:

4.3 We shall pay to you (the ''Affiliate Fees'') a commission, constituting a revenue share payment and/or a CPA payment, and save as otherwise agreed such commission shall be payable in accordance with the terms of the Affiliate Sign up Form and to be set out by us, and shall be payable for a period of 24 months from the date of first registration of each New Customer.

Ouch, I did not get any notice of that - unbelievable. Will speak to an AM tomorrow but it looks like they've just freed up a space in my top 10, if they're not in it for the long term then neither am I.

Yes, I have removed all recommendations for Sportingbet from our sites. I do not know why I ever gave this dishonest shower a second chance, when there are good honest firms out there.

The despicable, unethical, crooked aspect to this is that Sportingbet deliberately secretly slipped it in knowing webmasters would continue to promote them oblivious to having their money stolen.
Sportingbet AM has just told me it has been 24 months since 2008 - it's news to me.

It's news to me and I could not find any reference to this condition on Affiliate Guard Dog either. Though I could find reference to other SBT conditions they don't like. My affiliate account appears to have had its conditions updated as of 1/11/11.

UPDATE to this post: Affiliate Guard Dog seem to think this condition has been there a long time. Well it passed me by totally. This rip-off condition has not had much bad publicity but there again SBT are a minor player for affiliates, who generally seem to steer clear of them anyway given their chequered history. I hope I am alllowed to add this informative link:
    https://www.affiliateguarddog.com/for...lot-t4380.html

As affiliateguarddog summarise: "This is an affiliate program that should NOT be promoted anyway - so if you read their terms and STILL sign up... shame on you."

All I can really say is that the 24 months term was not in the term on: 2009-02-25 02:06:23. It was on the term on: 2009-06-10 12:29:16.

I believe the reason for the 4 month delay in spidering was the moving of the terms page.. I fixed that leak awhile later, but do not recall the date it was fixed. Anyway, here is the terms alert (was a hefty one):
