Default Content Focus - Informational or Commercial?

Im interested in hearing any input on this. Currently i work in Swedish gambling market and I wonder, at what ratio should one aim to hit in regards to informational vs. commercial content. To be fair, it's a limited amount of pages with great commercial value -at least in unreg Swedish market-, so i'd guesstimate 70/30 ish with bigger portion being informational content. Any thoughts on this?

You can use informational content as a way to cluster the commercial content (and vice versa). Do everything you can to make your commercial pages stronger, write useful content and link to them =) If topics are related, IN MY OPINION, doesn´t matter the proportion because one will benefit from the other.

That's true, I don't think there's any specific ration you should be focusing on. Better to focus on a content plan, introducing new KWs (where you can realistically compete) and adding supplement content and pages to increase the likelyhood of you getting better serp positions.

I don't make such a distinction when planning the content on my sites. Google doesn't, either, even though some SEO pundits like to say it does.

Your mix depends more on what content mix will be better for your website's users.

The ratio you propose is okay, but I would view it as a guideline rather than a rigid rule to follow. However, nothing beats testing and adjusting and testing (over and over again).

My recommendation is always to prioritize the user experience. Identify what interests them, create content around that, and link it to your commercial pages.

It seems to me that regardless of geo, it is important to maintain a balance, so 70/30 is an excellent proportion; the more informational content, the better for search engines. however, sometimes 50/50 works well too.

We'll in my opinion that's up to the user intent, but as long as it helpful, it should be ranked
