Default Bet-at-Home Affiliates (Bet at Home)

    Hi Guys

I joined Bet at Home Affiliates about 3 months ago at the beginning they were great they gave us some free bet codes for our competitions and we met Pieter at the Barcelona conference everything was going so well.

As many of you do we test the tracking links before we start promoting on twitter facebook etc, I don't gamble personally so a family member signed up the registration tracked, i thought great, the family member enjoyed the games and became a regular player and still is now, i believe

I raised an invoice with them last month and I received and email from them saying that they were not paying the commission as I cant earn commission on my own deposits, i politely said I don't gamble it was a friend or family with the same surname and i could send them proof of passport as i am 25 years old than the player.

They have ignored me and taken away the commission and then this morning I have received this

    Dear Affiliate,
we have to inform you that during a routine inspection of your affiliate account we unfortunately could determine that you worked against our terms and conditions.

Since specific affiliation methods are not accepted within our affiliate system we have to close your account and will withhold all commissions according to our terms and conditions.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
    Best regards,

    bet-at-home.com Affiliates

I have checked there T&C and cant find anything saying I cant recommend friends and family they quoted the below

    a. the affiliate partner sends spam e-mails or the service of bet-at-home.com is applied in any other unauthorised form or

    b. the affiliate partner registered as a player or make deposits directly or indirectly to any player account through their tracking links for their own personal use and/or of third parties, or in any other way attempted to artificially increase the commission payable to otherwise defraud the company. Violation of this provision shall be deemed fraud

Obviously very frustrated and cant believe this has actually happened when we promoted them i good faith, Can anyone give me there opinion of this situation, or any advice, or so you think it would be worth reporting or going down the legal route with them

    Many Thanks

    DT

It is a pretty standard term industry wide that signing up members of the same household and family members is a violation of terms.

Looking at their terms, they do not define this clearly like many programs, but they may hold firm since it is a family member.

You're not supposed to do that and they had every right to withhold your commission and to close your account. Though I think the account closure is a bit harsh.

You won't get anywhere if you fight, since they're right and you're wrong. You can only try being polite and accepting your mistake.

Bet at Home, another over-crowded (by affiliates) sportsbook that do not care about one affiliate.
They have plenty of them so, why they have any respect for any small one?
