AU players

Hi. Are all Fortune brands still accepting new/servicing existing Aussie players? I have not been able to find any information re. excluded countries.

They still have AU subdomains and the websites will still let me register from here so I assume the answer is yes. However when the proposed amendments pass (they will as no-one significant opposes them) Microgaming will pull out. I would not rely on them or any other old school Microgaming group long term. That aside, almost all of them have gone into full "shaft affiliates" mode in recent times so I would not be sending any players from anywhere their way if you can avoid it.

I hope you're correct, Muppy. I needed to create a test account yesterday with 7 Sultans download casino and my natural IP and usual proxies are all blocked countries by Fortune, so I created a test account using AU details and the software told me they can't offer real money bets in my jurisdiction... although it still allowed me to finish creating the account... so I'm not 100% sure...

I registered an account on royal vegas this morning before posting that. It all went through ok, prompted me to deposit to claim a bonus etc. I brought up the banking page and all buttons were active etc, but I didn't deposit. I could open a Microgaming game in real money mode albeit with 0 balance. It all looked ok to me.

Maybe the error is due to your location and/or their detection of a vpn or proxy. Or maybe they have blocked us from some of their casinos but not all.

Thanks. You are probably correct. I was using the download casino so my VPN plug-in wouldn't have been activated and the casino perhaps detected my natural (blocked IP). Still... I think the warning only appeared after I entered the fake AU addy details and clicked 'register'... and it still then proceeded to allow me to finish the registration and load up real money games, although I obviously didn't deposit.

I'll assume AU are good at Fortune for now. Thanks for the help.

I did sort this out privately with FA but still, it hasn't gone unnoticed by me how FA pick and choose which topics to reply to here. It's bloody rude.

It gets noticed ALOT when I decide which brands to include in our promotions.

I have started pushing RTG to Aussies, heard on the grapevine that soon all microgaming and netent will drop them.. can't say how plausible it is but the way things are looking i have already made the jump

Same here, but very low profile.

Does any of them convert well for you?

Most RTG casinos that entered the Aus market didn't understand that Aussie players used to different level of support, payments, payment speed and such. They will probably get used to lower level of service, as US players did, but it will take time and only after the rest are out.

Last thing you want to do is push traffic to Fortune affiliates or Brightshare as the will cut your throught as soon as they can to place you on 25%

As for RTG ... when players are accustomed to playing at a casino with hundreds of great games, loads of deposit methods, quick payments and no limits on the amount they can withdraw, what do you think their opinion of the average RTG casino is going to be?

MGS/Netent were ready to pull out of the AU market in Oct 2016, then Nov, and Dec too. They were both under the impression the amended IGA would pass the Senate Vote and become Federal Law. It didn't happen. It still hasn't happened.

AU Politicans are now on their winter break. The 1'st sitting of the Senate is sometime in August 2017. And, given there are far more important laws to be passed when they return from their winter break (terrorist laws and alike) these WILL take precendence over the IGA. As an Aussie, I highly doubt it will be voted on, much less be passed by 2017. Which then leads to into their summer break.

In the last sitting of the AU senate (before they retired for their winter break) a few Federal Politian's voiced their disaproval of the amended IGA. I watched and listen to one Poli and, I can assure you there are opposing forces ar play, now.

Nick Xenophon (Federal MP - the driving force behind these amendments) attempted a George W. Bush (unsuccessfully I'll add), by attaching banking processing controls to the IGA, which, when picked up, sent the IGA back to square one. I dare say this gave some Poli's time to review the IGA amended proposal in depth. And, subsquently have realised that if the IGA passes with these amdended Laws (as one Poli stated), it will make petty criminals out of everyday Australians.

I could be wrong. But I don't think the IGA has a duck's ass hope of passing now. Not withstanding and reiterating, there are more pressing Federal Laws which need to attention of the Senate in 2017.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about - I'm certain not

This is wrong. There is nothing in the current law or the amendments that targets or penalises players at all. It is not an offence for an Australian player to gamble online and it still will not be if these amendments pass. It is all aimed at operators who illegally accept Australians, which they have all been doing since the initial act was passed in 2001 due to lack of care factor and enforceable penalties. This is why the recent mass pull-out is highly hypocritical, and likely driven by European licensing authorities applying pressure to their licensees as opposed to voluntary withdrawals.

I stand by by statement that no-one significant opposes the amendments. It is supported by the major political parties, church groups and other do-gooders, land casino operators, the clubs lobby, and more importantly the licensed bookmakers that are paying to operate in Australia legally. The main opponent is independent David Leyonjholm who is a laughing stock for many of his other bat-**** mental views. He's not a guy you want on your side in any argument.

Hi - hence Fortune is withdrawing from AU - do you think they'll still pay anything (at least 25%) for existing players? Cheers
