Affiliate theme or site from scratch?

Hey, we recently started working on our second site https://www.thebestpokersitesonline.com/ and are using MERCURY theme for that.

That said, I am not thrilled either with available customization nor site speed, so a couple of questions:

Is it better to higher developer and optimize this theme or build a new one from scratch?
Aproximation of how much could it cose to build fully funcional and SEO orentated theme?
Is there are any other themes worth considering?

Your site looks ok; just try to improve speed with 1-2 plugins. I wouldn't spend too much time and money on the design. Certainly I wouldn't spend resources on a custom theme unless you are generating big money.

Try to generate traffic and earnings first.

Yea, you are probabaly right on this one. Any specific plugins you could recomend?

A caching plugin like W3TC or Borlabs, maybe a Lazy Load Plugin like a3 Lazy Load. Then minimzie images. I don't use the Smush it Plugin because I miminize images manually, but you might want to try it (should also have a lazy load option included).

And/or you could also use Cloudflare (free) for caching.

Double the Poka theme, or at least their plugin. Actually one of the best products on the market (as for me).

Also recommend Poka. Check out Dinomatic themes as well.
