Default Affiliate Lounge close my account (7.9 rule)

Hi, I got this email (below) from affiliate lounge, I had an account with them about a year, 2 months increased activity and registered seven new players, giving a small profit, which this month is bigger.
Unfortunately, two weeks member there my friend whom I recommended Betsson of my sites. Betsson did not record it, I wrote to them I data and join it to the system. Unfortunately, I knew what a friend was playing in the system are quite different statistics.
I do not recommend anyone affiliate lounge, all of their brands will be on my side to Chapter Black List.

    Dear Partner,

We are writing to notify you that your account has been inactive for the past 6 months (has not generated a minimum level of activity / new depositing players).

Under rule 7.9 of our terms and conditions the Company reserves the right to set limits for a minimum level of activity on Affiliate’s accounts and to terminate any agreement not reaching the limit.

Consequently our Affiliate Agreement is now being terminated. Your October and remaining unpaid commission will be paid out early November and your account will be permanently shut down on November 1st, 2013. You will not be eligible to earn or receive commissions after the effective termination date.

    Thanks and best regards,

Hope that the smaller companies will not come to the same idea to get rid of their partners. Very questionable and hope that these companies will get a shot across the bow. But probably they are already too big and it's no interesting what a handful partners saying or writing.

Remove their links and blacklist them. That's what I'll be doing next week.

There have been a couple of reports about this on AGD too:

    https://www.affiliateguarddog.com/for...ers-t6762.html

    https://www.affiliateguarddog.com/forums/closing-affiliate-accounts-down-t6757.html

The thing that sounds really worrying is that there are affs saying that they're getting their accounts shut down even though they're delivering RMP's each month - just not as many as they used to.

Sounds like AL have gone a bit soft in the head.

Can someone who's at the conference ask them what the hecks going on?

I also receive a similar email, even with 26 players registered this year (not much compared to what I convert on other companies, but is about 2.8 per month...)

But well.. this is the motivation I need to remove the remaining banners and links and place all Affiliate lounge associated brands on my network blacklists.

I have a feeling that this 'give us more exposure or lose your account' strategy is going to severely backfire on them...

Anyone got a responsive contact at AffiliateLounge? I really need to get a reply from someone about this. As you might have guessed, I got the same email. Last real money player I brought in? Yesterday!

Yup, I've got the same email, but could care less. Why? Because I haven't stopped promoting two of their brands NordicBet & Betsafe, but instead of trying to be creative, spend some cash and promotions so they can attract higher exposure, they try to enforce you to promote, with scare tactics like this. End result? Less and less affiliates that will be giving you exposure and word spreads quickly believe me.

What did I do after I've got that email? I just redirected all links to a better brand, because why would I want to erase a content that I have put effort in. I just put up a red message that says, that due to poor treatment or change in partnership rules, we are stopping to work with the given brand and that we recommend a better one, and for that reason the links will redirect.

I also tell them that while I understand players might be treated better, if you treat your right hand (partners) poorly it's just a matter of time or you are already treating your players the same way.

What was that phrase.... you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar? Well this behavior is the vinegar.

I had problems with them with lost registrations...but i couldn't care less, i just stopped promoting them. Its good to realise early which partners are going to be the good long term partners. There are plenty of operators out there that are have much bigger brands and will never terminate your account!

    received this email this morning:

    Dear affiliate,

It came to our attention that your account has not been generating much activity for the past 6 months (has not generated a minimum level of activity / new depositing players).
This is a gentle reminder that under our terms and conditions the Company reserves the right to set limits for a minimum level of activity on Affiliate’s accounts and to terminate any agreement not reaching the limit.

We have looked at your account and your dedicated Affiliate Manager has decided not to terminate our agreement but to closely monitor your account activity for the next 3 months and give the opportunity to start promoting us actively on your website(s). We are hoping to see an increase in your account activity during this monitoring period or your account will be indeed terminated after the review period (end of this year).

Any questions please contact your Affiliate Manager.

    Regards, Affiliate Lounge
yea course i'll give you another 3 months FREE advertising for you to then close the account. They are just on the rob for players, they will be removed by the end of the day, but thats probably what they want. Close as many affiliate accounts as possible and steal all there players.

I got this message also. In my case the problem is that we delivered a lot of depositing players a while back, but now we don't deliver a lot anymore. And those depositors still generate a lot of money. But after 31 december we get zero... f*cking thieves.

My advise, if you haven't generated any or a little bit of money, quit while you still can. After they shut us down we will put them on the the no-go blacklists... and adjust the pages dedicated to AL brands...

    Good evening, Affiliate Lounge!

It is pure coincidence, that i am tripping over this interesting thread.

7.9 The Company reserves the right to set limits for a minimum level of activity on Affiliate’s accounts. Such minimum activity levels will be continuously reviewed and the Company reserves the right to terminate any agreement not reaching the limit. Such limit shall not be unreasonably high and reflect the intention of avoiding accounts where the revenue does not cover the Company’s internal costs for maintaining the account and the payout procedure.
    Source: affiliatelounge.com/terms-of-use/

"reflect the intention of avoiding accounts where the revenue does not cover the Company’s internal costs for maintaining the account"

In real every online casino fits in a shoebox. Can you please explain me your "costs for maintaining" accounts? Please don't tell me, that the affiliate managers are too busy then with writing or calling webmasters, and this extra-time, that is indeed normal working time, should be paid from the webmaster.

You have to pay for holding your shoebox sized casino online and nobody else!

And what happened, if you sending out messages?

"your dedicated Affiliate Manager has decided not to terminate our agreement but to closely monitor your account activity for the next 3 months and give the opportunity to start promoting us actively on your website(s)."

Oh, boy! This is a text block mass letter!

    The debunking word is "website(s)".

Furthermore, "decided not to terminate our agreement but to closely monitor your account activity for the next 3 months and give the opportunity to start promoting us actively" is nothing less than emotional blackmail.

    "
your dedicated Affiliate Manager decided not to terminate our agreement"
    Of course!
How to play good cop, bad cop...

If it was not so sad, one could laugh about this communication style.

Same thing happened to me aswell, and since I am more or less "out of the business" its no big deal, except for the fact that I have earned nice figures, not enough to be rich, but certainly one of my better sites. I have tried to contact them, managed to get a few answers, but they have decided to close the account those greedy bastards!

So, I will do everything that is in my power to spread necessary **** about the site everywhere I go. I am also a big casino fan, and my place happens to be at one of their sites. So basically by shutting down my account will pretty much make them lose more money than if they had kept me.....and that makes me even more "happy"

I even took the time to write them a "**** you letter". I am a small part of this lousy business, but even the smallest bugs can make a lot of noise.

So fellow members: Spam down the affiliatelounge email, and make a lot of noise you bugs!!! My letter:

Ok, sorry to see you being that greedy. But who cares.

In that case I would like to shut down my XXX account and also the XXX account. I think the Nordic Bet account is closed already, but if it is not the name is XXX.

Would also like to point out that I have been a very good customer at Betsson casino, and I believe I lost between 30000-50000 norwegian kroners annually....(4000-7000€) around but no more you pathetic greedy dumbasses.

Look forward to an answer to you when all my Betssongroup-accounts has been closed, and I will do everything in my power to tell negative things about Betsson, Betsafe, Nordic Bet....There are a few others aswell.

Thanks for many years of good cooperation, and good luck with your greed

    Yours sincerely
    XXX

We got the same email, and this month they closed down the account. We havent't sent many players in the last year and that was because we didn't make any money with them. Always had depositing players with up to 10000€ a month, but most of the months went on negative revenue just in the end of the month.
I don't really care if they close the account for us, beacuse then we can focus on thoose affiliate programs who treat their customers in a good way instead. I mean if they first send an email with a threat of closing the account and after that tell us that we must sent more players and advertise them more to keep it, one must be crazy to work with them anymore.
I think whats really wrong here is that their 7.9 rule don't say anything about 'new depositing players' but only about 'low activity'. I believed that having a couple of hundreds active players thet did deposits every month was enough activity. But I must have been wrong there.
Here are two of my sites:
    We call them casinosv.com & bingono.org

What the GPWA does is provide a platform where affiliates can document the issues (or the good experiences) they have with programs for others to see. Sometimes shining a light on the troublesome practices of an affiliate program will result in the program moving to a better place. And sometimes it will not. When it does not, then at least fellow webmasters can see how a program is treating its affiliates, and make better informed decisions for themselves based on that information.
