Exclamation Account closed, due to inactivity

    Dear bet365 team,

I received the following e-mail message today and I was a bit shocked by it (see below this post).

For the last 3 years I have been working hard on my casino affiliate website to get it off the ground. As you all know SEO is a long process that doensn't give results overnight.

The results are getting better slowely now. I am proud that I have my best results this month so far (3 NDPs this month for different casino brands).

I haven't been able to send bet365 any NDPs, despite my exposure efforts on the website. However closing my affiliate account for this reason seems to be very unfair.

I am doing my best and giving 100% to make something out of this website. All my spare time is going into it. Already having 600 pages of good quality content and spend a good amount of my savings on linkbuilding.

What have you done for me bet365? Besides closing down my account, which means I have to reorganize my entire website.

What is the trouble of having an affiliate in your system that doensn't send any NDPs just yet?

I know all to well that this will change in the future as my website will grow to be more succesfull.

I have one question.. Do you think it's smart to exclude me now? I will think twice before working again with bet365.

Hopefully my experience will warn other smaller affiliates. If you are a big company sending guaranteed NDPs every month, sure work with bet365, why not. But every other 90% affiliates, stay away and save your precious time to grow and become that big company one day..

Thank you and have a good day.

    Regards,
    Richard

    The e-mail I received:

    Dear bet365 Partner,

As a leading gambling group and brand, bet365 is fully committed to ensuring its compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and maintaining its high level of customer protection and satisfaction.

As part of this commitment, we are writing to you today to notify you that our automated systems have identified that your bet365 Partner account has been inactive over the last 90 days and no longer meets our minimum referral requirement (Minimum Referral Requirement 3.2) for a partner who actively promotes bet365. As a result, we are writing to notify you that in accordance to the agreed terms, we are terminating this agreement with immediate effect.

As we recognise and appreciate your efforts during the agreement you will continue to receive commission payments for those players acquired, so long as you have successfully referred a minimum of 5 active players and the withdrawal amount meets the minimum balance (Referral Fee Payout 5.1) Please note that balance withdrawals are subject to the bet365 Partners terms and conditions. If you would like to make a withdrawal of commission payments we will need to verify that you have removed all promotion of bet365 from your sites/channels.

For the avoidance of doubt, any new customers directed to bet365 will no longer be linked to your account and will therefore not derive any commissions. .

Thank you for your participation in the bet365 Partners program, we wish you well with your future endeavours.

They used to care, A LOT. In fact if you search around you would see that back in 2011-13 they were doing their best to fix all issues, even payments to people who didn't get to 50$ (when the requirement was 50$ and 5 total depositing players). They did audits, they offered a higher % if you were doing well, without you even asking for it.

Back then however they had a few million customers, were still popular but not as much. Now they are a behemoth, with according to them over 80,000,000 customers world wide. At this point if they were the rocket ship, we are them engines they needed to get to space. Now we are no longer necessary unless you meet that quota w/e it is, since I no longer work with them.

In 2017 a lot of things changed, from their guidelines of promoting, to requirements and demands where they have to be placed.

With all that being said, I do see that it sucks for new or small affiliates, but I do see how their company has changed and has taken another approach, which we might not like, but this is the path most huge companies take. Still they are willing to keep on paying you (for now that is), which is super rare as most other books, turned off the notch the moment they saw a chance.

Sadly this is how the industry is.. bet365 hamstrung affiliates by dictating their content then closed the door on them. It's good they offer to pay but it'd have been nice to have a conversation with them before the door shuts.
