Bitcoin is astonishing. It's come a very long way since its establishment and it's a big player in the cryptocurrency market. It continues to grow, making its impression, and becoming more popular throughout the world.

I'm pretty sure not only Bitcoin but also Litecoin, Dogecoin and etc. It's kind of trend now and that's cool. The industry adjust to all changes.

So called "fan tokens" have nothing to do with bitcoin and are loosely connected to crypto (as much as one cat I saved and gave him a name "Bcash" is connected to crypto). It is just some nonsense that is using the "crypto" name because it is cool now.

Same case as CBDC. It is centralised to the level that it is not even pretending decentralisation or claiming it in future.

Those fan tokens can be simply shares like tokens used for marketing purposes. Maybe not a totally stupid idea to raise some money, but just because some token is based on some other token that is an ETH smartcontract (so it is a third derivation of ETH), it does not make anything significant towards crypto.

It is just another marketing bullshit like NFTs or collectible cards. Zero connection to bitcoin. Messi is promoting it by accepting it like socks or whatever that guy is promoting.

It is not a trend, it was just a hype. It is cool only for the hodlers of the shtcoins. No, there will not be many casinos accepting all those cryptos. Even after years just few casinos/sportsbooks can actually handle even Bitcoin directly. Most of them are using some money processors and those will be targetted in crypto very soon.

    This is very interesting news.

I believe that in the future, it will not only be athletes like them, but also ordinary companies that will increasingly receive their salaries in virtual currency.

Yes, the trend is clear. I expect more people to be paid in crypto (mainly in Bitcoin) once they're more educated about it.

Crypto become more popular in modern world, many peoples using it like a payment tool. Bitcoin can be used to pay for many things in the world, from education to pizza or burger. High fees and low transaction speeds have recently been an issue with cryptocurrency payments, but new platforms are helping to get around this hurdle in many ways.

Apparently he doesn't actually get paid in bitcoin. Read a few things about how he's actually paid in USD and converts some to bitcoin (so... bit of a non-story if so).

Potential loss*. The loss is impermanent unless converted to cash. If this is money you are not in dire need, there's no need to sell right away while in a bear market. Be sure a year or two ahead, you will see many stories the opposite of that one where people were paid at this price and it went up. Happens every cycle.
